They are great photo's, but I think the gallery needs to be located in GTPlanet forums. 👍

I will be voting myself, but at the moment it is taking quite some time (I'm being careful with my selections... studying as many pictures as possible), so cope with me on my slow progress. On average so far, it's about one nomination every two days

Hey thanks. Only one of the pics has been touched at all and it was just a simple inverting of colors in paint. How would I get a gallery onto the GTP forums?

What are all of us making pictures for? Just thought I'd answer a question with another question. Yeah, I've seen the catagories on the first page, but where are the nominations? 💡 Your not saying I have to look through all the galleries and compile a list? I hope not, I haven't got enough time to do that, and I would be worried that I might miss a great shot or two. Whats the rub?

Sorry for all the confusion, but I'm going to go ahead and put nominations for you to choose from for each catergory, only two people have nominated so far, so I need to do this to make this thing sucsessful, sorry to CCX and Cascada who have nominated already, but it's for the best.

Nominaton method has changed, it will take only a few minuites now to vote, pick one member/gallery/image from each catergory in post #1, you must pick the image/member/gallery from the list.

What you think is the best gallery which started between March 1st - September 20th 2006. The post #1 date must be between the dates mentioned.

Unfortunatly my gallery (Within the nominations) was created 4 days after the date range. (Yet still before the nominations thread was announced).

Didn't notice that, I was just focusing on month and year, but I'm going to allow it, since the nomination method has changed etc.

I've seen alot better shots from all the participants especially the 2.0 and photomode shots. This is a really cool idea, but its really hard to accomplish. I guess this way makes it easier though. I congratulate you for making the effort to put something like this together and for the few nominations .

Maybe it would be a good idea for this comp to follow the photomode competitions and have the catagories made up from the winners through out the year?

Aw crap, I didn't make the "best new gallery" nominations. Oh well, I gotta say the ones in there are pretty amazing

As for randomly choosing "best pictures", there are a few in there that I wouldn't have picked, but it is a lot easier than looking through everyone's galleries, I guess. And I do appreciate the time you've put into this, so I hope it works out well

So we are voting now then?
There's a few things that I think should be in the first post, ie SlipZtrEm's Gallery, 440's Gallery, Krame's Gallery, Sej's Gallery, VR6GTI72's Gallery, etc etc.
I also think that a whole bunch of Vicious VP, Easy$$, Franz's old masterpieces from the early Photomode/Photoshop Competitions should be included.
Hehe, I won't even start on the 2.0 Entries, I have too many favourites to list.

So uh, let me get this straight; this went from a "everyone nominate who/which picture they think is best" idea (my only reasonable comparison being the Oscars... though I suppose a Reader's Choice type of thing is more comparable), to a "out of my personal picks, vote for which is best" competition?

So where exactly is everyone's opinion really expressed? If I limit people to voting for only the shots that I approve of, the "award" title is a bit misguiding, no? Because it's no longer the true, unlimited voice of any members here, it's a concentrated, forced opinion.

I was skeptical about the original setup, because it could very well end up as a bunch of favouritism and buddy-buddying. But this just furthers that, really. I understand you weren't getting the reaction you were looking for right away, but the people truly interested were investing the time at actually looking at more of the galleries. I know I was taking more time lately to look around, instead of focusing on the few I normally do frequent. You had made the deadline the end of October, which is still a month away; more than enough time for people to get a fair feel of what exactly is out there.
