Well, besides western animation (I, for one, loved all of Spielberg's shows too.), and Anime (DBZ, etc.), there were some good shows from elsewhere in the world; like this Russian cartoon...

Captain Pronin. This cartoon only had 4 episodes ever produced, but is was good, at least for me.
