Very interesting man... It'll do good. Remember how strange the new Beattles we're (are) or how about the PT Cruser. People can seem to get enough of 'em.

exactly my point!!! I am worried about the price though... the things chevy is putting in it, it might make it an exotic truck, that would suck!!

ITS GOT A V8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just look at the Lincoln Blackwood a 50 grand "luxury" truck.

It really is nice looking!

GM seems to be copying the Dodge theme with this so called pick up.
Being a GM owner, they are going off the wall with their styling. Makes me wonder what kind of drugs they are doing when they come up with some of these designs. Anybody with me on this one?
Ho-Hum.
GM, what about the sport compact crowd you seem to be overlooking. Trucks are nice, but man, give us a break.
Sorry, just venting angry GM sentiments. Later.

Hey misnblu, I read in a mag about th next Caviler. I think the styling re-do is perfect for the sport compact market, and I'm pretty sure there will be some worty power options, that will compete with Civic R and the like. I'm not sure, but I do know the next Cav is supposed to be made for the sport compact movement.

Right now there is a lot of controversy if the cavalier name will live on.
The new cavalier (Astra by Opel) will have the Ecotec 2.2 engine which has lots of potential.
It will come with 140 hp and about 145 lb ft of torque.
This motor will prove to be better than any cavalier has had as far as performance (capability) and reliability.
I know Im knocking Gm pretty hard, but if you look at the sport compact scene, Gm has forgotten about us.
Honda, BMW, Lexus, and all imports are adding entries into this market with some nice hp figures to boot. ;)
Many cavalier owners are going import when they sell their cars and I will be in the same boat if I ever do.
Still having fun with my cavaliers though. :D
Later.

Humm, instead of making an old looking type truck, they should have done something to compete with fords lightning....

Personally, I HATE the styling of that thing, and the PT Cruser....

That's my 2c

I saw that on Motorvision on speedvision on wednesday!!!

That thing looked soo cool!

Have you priced those trucks??
They are a rich mans pickup. Great performance, but you sure pay for it.
Seems a lot of manufacturers are going hard and heavy in the truck market.
Forget the styling of the pt cruiser, ssr, aztec and so on. Give me performance that I can afford, but not in a truck.

for what you paid for that Cav.and those mods, you could have bought a nice used Z28 or evn an SS if you could find one. Or even a WS6! And I am saying one packin an LS1

Yeah, Ive spent some money on the cavy. Its an investment for me and can always get my money back if needed.
In the 11 months Ive owned it, Ive only put 6,000 miles on it and it has only 73,000 on the odometer.
Plus, Im basically restoring it to new condition (show car) so Ill have no problem selling if I want to. Dont want to though. hehe
There will be a day that Ill have a true performance car (Porsche), that is if I dont get too old to enjoy it. :D
I paid 7700 for the cavy,so I was limited in what I could buy at the time.
I know one thing, Im having a blast with it and all the imports in my town always do double takes when I cruise the streets.
Thats what I like. ;)
