I was told that the MB VGT Racing Series technically does not count as the second car of VGT but as a version of the MB VGT. So I relabeled them as 1a and 1b to give the BMW VGT #2.

In a certainly unexpected turn of events, Cigarette Racing Team has announced a surprising partnership with Mercedes-Benz and Sony to build the $1.5-million Cigarette Racing 50’ Vision GT Concept boat. Yes, that’s right – a speedboat.

The 50′ boat was designed alongside the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision GT car, which made its debut in Gran Turismo 6 as the first concept car of the Vision Gran Turismo project, according to an official press release from Cigarette Racing:

Virtually simultaneous to the development of the Vision Gran Turismo was the special development of the Cigarette Racing 50′ Vision GT Concept, a one-of-a-kind special model which is the most powerful production twin engine performance boat ever developed and built by Cigarette Racing. Collaboration between Cigarette Racing Team, Mercedes-AMG and Polyphony Digital Inc. created one-of-a-kind elements for the Cigarette Racing 50′ Vision GT Concept, incorporating a stunning Alubeam painted exterior that includes a custom matte black hull and accents.

The Cigarette Racing 50′ Vision GT Concept has twin 1650 hp Mercury Racing engines, which roar at 300 hp per engine higher than the standard engines used in the 50′ Cigarette Marauder. Lightweight construction has allowed for approximately 1000 lbs to be removed from the standard spec weight, thereby allowing the boat to have an estimated top speed of more than 140 mph at a length of 50′ and a width of 8′.

No detail was left untouched when designing the interior of the Cigarette Racing 50′ Vision GT Concept. The crafted interior is black with black alcantara accents, and uses carbon fiber dash panels inside the boat with silver face gauges. User interface technology is also maximized with Bluetooth, computerized controls, four high-definition displays, and the next generation integration of Garmin and Cigarette navigation and audio.

The new boat – covered in Gran Turismo and AMG logos – will be on display alongside the full-scale Mercedes AMG Vision GT concept car at the Miami International Boat Show, Feb. 13-17.

Of course, there’s still no official word on this Vision GT concept coming to GT6…

This car was revealed at Detroit show as the allroad shooting brake. As a C5 allroad owner, I got all tingly in my pants.

I noticed that the AMG VGT Racing Series' colours might be racing inspired. "Mountaingrau Metallic" is likely inspired by the colours of Mercedes AMG Petronas F1:

And the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team was formed from the Mercedes-Benz powered Brawn GP. "Dianantweiss Metallic" is sure reminiscent of Brawn GP's colour scheme:

It may all be coincidental, but I thought it was neato, anyway.

I really like the AMG VGT, but its stupid that you can't paint the new one. Almost everyone here will NEVER own one in real life, so this is our chance to go crazy with it and do whatever we want with it.

As to the new racing series, I'm afraid I'm somewhat disappointed by comparison. Or maybe my expectation is too high?

The vgt RS will give you a good shot at gt3 ia championship. Even with its 624 pp they eill beat all the Gt-R's out there.
