The B-Spec Driver Arrow

So when I made my first B-Spec driver, he had this Green horizontal arrow by his helmet icon. Ignored it for the most part.

I've got him up to Class 8 now, and I've noticed that it's now an Orange box pointed 45 degrees downwards. Logic tells me this probably isn't a "good thing."

Someone know what this arrow means?

i think it has something to do with his motivation.
sometimes, if you af an other b-spec driver and one of yours is demotivatet he get motivated if you prefer him instead of the other driver.
sometimes it happens if you give your driver to much work, so 5-10 races a break and he'll be fine.

It's 1 one 2 things: Either he's tired from racing too much or he's feeling left out and want to go racing. If you've been using him too much, let him rest and vice versa.

Yay i Heard the Orange mean hes bacisly Un-happen lol stressed, depressed, :) So he needs alittle rest and or he's losing to much? Not sure how losing effects him yet

Well, I did have him run 35 straight races. Lost only 2, but then again, that's how it works when you give him a Gallardo for the Sunday Cup.

Though B-Spec Bill (driver #2) managed to win the Mazda NA-Roadster challenge with expired Strength and Mental Health, so we'll see just how much I can torture him. Thanks for the answers.

I think this is definitely it. I've had it happen from using him too much, and then I had it happen from using my 2nd driver for a few races in a row. Threw him back in for a couple races and he perked right up.

Still not sure the magic formula for getting the blue up arrow, I've only gotten it occasionally.

Why does this keep coming up, ITS FORM. and its written as such in teh manual. Theres about 10-15 threads about it already aswell.

Talking about manual, the french one is horrible. To give you an example, the B-Spec manual is... 5 lines long in there. The only thing explained about pilots: register a pilot to be controlled by the AI in the B-Spec. aaaand thaaaaat s it.

I know paper is expensive but COOOOOOOOOME ON PD... if you don't want to polute then put recycled paper and natural ink in there. (that said the APEX manual is pretty nice, but you have to spend a bit more to get it)

Honestly I really wouldn't worry about it. I just ignore it and keep racing, I don't really notice any effect and eventually he'll go back to blue/green arrow. My driver is lvl 30.

Apex manual is good but it does not mention anything about B-Spec races talks about Tuning and controlling and maintaining your cars etc. I had a level 5 Driver and the icon turned orange and he was a good no loses with over 15 wins.

But I believe i over worked him or he felt he was been replaced cos as soon i hit b-spec level 5 i hired another driver. Before i read this thread ive now fired i'm =(. I have to hire another driver now i'll be careful to give all my drivers breaks

I've noticed my rookie driver (of the three) will be blue up arrow (assume highly motivated). But if I give the next race to someone else that changes to the green (ready to go again) arrow.

I also think it's motivation, but have nothing to prove it yet.

I noticed the orange arrow pop up when I was almost at the end of level 5. Maybe he was fed up with doing the lower class races? I ended up using my 2nd driver to finish off the beginner table. I then tried the MX5 only race and noticed that the arrow was green again. Maybe he needed a rest or maybe they lose interest when they do lower class races compared to their skill level?

My B-Spec Badoer (look up Luca Badoer if you don't get it) first got the down arrow after reaching level 8 and losing the same race twice. I didn't care and kept racing him, except for him being even more stupid than usual he didn't die or anything, somewhat unfortunately. However, strangely, without giving him a break or anything, his arrow went green, then two races after was pointing up. Funny thing is, it went from down to neutral after the longest race he's been in.

If it's a tiredness indicator, I think they're doing it wrong. It is annoying, though, when your best driver just can't be bothered.
