The Baggage/Luggage/Pack Thread

So I did a search and I couldn't find anything of this sort so...

How do you tote your stuff about? Briefcase? Black suitcase? Surplus rucksack?

I currently use a Jansport Catamount for school, and a nameless, olive colored rolling suitcase.

Also, does anyone know where I can get a steamer trunk? Thought it would make a great bit of kit for college, store under my bed, carry clothes, secure valuables, etc?

I'm all about luggage especially as I literally live out of 2 panniers right now.

My favourite pack has been all around the world and was given to me several years ago by a friend who wanted to set up a home and had no use for it anymore. It's a North Face Solaris 40ltr hiking pack. I haven't used it in months because I don't need it for touring.

Which brings me to my touring gear. They are essentially 2 double helmet top boxes strapped to thesside of my bike. Far too large for the few possesions I actually have but water tight and lockable.

My only other bag is a small green military surplus messenger bag which I carry documents in.

I have a grey/black checkerboard patterned satchel bag that I bought during my first year of University in 2008 and have used for everything since. It goes everywhere with me but is rarely used to actually carry anything. It has since become referred to by my friends as my 'prop'.
