So as many of you probably know, The Beatles are getting their own RB game, scheduled for release September 9th, 2009 on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.

Intro video (displayed at the start of Microsoft's E3 Press Conference)

Official Trailer

Songs confirmed to be in the game (out of 45 total):

  • I Saw Her Standing There
  • I Want to Hold Your Hand
  • I Feel Fine
  • Day Tripper
  • Taxman
  • I Am The Walrus
  • Back In The U.S.S.R.
  • Octopus’s Garden
  • Here Comes The Sun
  • Get Back
Locations Confirmed:

  • Cavern Club
  • The Ed Sullivan Theater
  • Shea Stadium
  • Budokan
  • Abbey Road
  • Rooftop (As seen in the "Get Back" video)
It has also been revealed that full Beatles albums will be added as DLC, pulling the tracks from the newly remastered CD's. (The CD's release on 9.9.09 aswell)
This means that if they were to add all the albums as DLC, we could see a song total hitting 200+ songs.
(However as it stands the albums will not be available for use in RB1/2/3/UP, nor will the game's tracks be exportable)

The Instruments are also modeled after the instruments used by John, Paul, George and Ringo in real life:

Paul McCartney's Hoffner Bass and Ludwig-branded drums based on Ringo Starr's drumset come with the "Special Edition Bundle", aswell as a Microphone and stand.

John Lennon's and George Harrison's Rickenbacker 325 and Gretsch Duo Jet guitars, respectfully, are available as stand-alone guitars and (possibly), guitar and game bundles.

What are you guy's thoughts and expectations out of this game? I'm pumped for the release but still feeling weird about paying $450 for the entire set :S

Chris.

I saw this as a bit on one of the "entertainment" news programs. what makes it corny is that they recreated all the stage shows for each peice of music. "all you need is Love" will be DLC apparently

Yes, I forgot to mention that "All you need is Love" is DLC.
Exclusive to Xbox 360 however, and all profits from the song go towards Doctors without Borders.
