The suspension movement looks exagerrated on it, cause he is driving a F1 and it shouldn't dive that much when he brakes. F1 cars should have hard suspension or maybe i could be wrong.I've never been in a F1 before.:dopey:

That's a misinterpretation, KiwiBoy. When you're in that thing, it's movement doesn't feel like you lean forwards and backwards, cause you look at the screen, and not the surrounding room. This way, your brain can't connect your vision and your knowledge properly, and it causes you to feel differently. It rather feels like you're being pushed into the seatbelts when braking, and being pushed into the seat when accelerating. So, it doesn't simulate the leaning car by making movements, it simulates the forces on your body. Gravity actually makes your body feel like it's being accelerated, decellerated and thrown from corner to corner, the seat just brings you into the right position for gravity to make its job.

Now, with the excellent brakes of an F1 car, it should actually lean forward more than with a normal car, cause it can brake much harder than a normal car. The more the seat leans forward, the more you're being pulled forwards by gravity. But as you don't see that you're leaning forwards cause you're looking at the screen, it feels like you're being pushed forwards into the seatbelts.

did you watch any of the other videos. The one with the irtual car all aorund him is pretty cool. I wonder how they are doing all that.

2004 NY car show in Jacob Javits Center had the similar cockpit (ding) at the Subaru section with GT3 and of course a Subaru Imprezza at the Swiss Alps. I wanted to try it but the line was 45 minutes long. My borther did and said that it does not feel as much as it looks. I knew it wouldn't though because of the screen you are looking at and the way your brain process information. Go to Universal Studios and get on the Back to the Future Ride, it's much better.

Couple of weeks ago I was in Geneve 2006 Expo (the famous car show) and tried out this Subaru thing and I must say it really is great thing.

4 PS2 consoles (3 for picture, one for game), DFP, hydraulics .... mmmmmmmmmm

Although only two tracks were available (Tsukuba and Grand Canyon) and only Subaru cars and time limit (180 sec), I must confess it was awesome! And as everybody chose Tsukuba I had to be special and try the gravel and jumps of Grand Canyon in a Impreza Rally Car. And I must say it felt awesome and left me speechless. And I started dreaming ... :D

Yeah, I played it at the Javits center last year. Half hour wait, much better than th 1.5 hr wait to be driven on the Jeep Trail Rated course. I tried the Grand Canyon too, got half way through before I had to try to use 450 degrees of steering to get around the hairpin turns. That's when time ran out. Rally courses are alot harder in GT4 than in GT3.
