Fun event will revisit to get under 5 minutes for both entries

Glad that you like the available grip that Opera has to offer even at low hp against AI.
Off course you are 3-4 sec. for lap faster but ...... I will pretend that i didn't notice that

Just came from work and guess what ? Am working and tomorrow :banghead: :banghead:

Tinkerbell you find a mate ( @Failmaster21 ) to share your emotions from the childhood era of GT history .
Anyway , one way or another we all give signs that some nuts from our head are a bit " loose" .

Sorry for double post ,wan't happen again ( today ) !!!!
Empty room ( Mary is upstairs ) means opportunity and didn't miss it.

Can't show my breath to Hugh but at least am in his shadow :D
By the way Hug's time could be a world record unofficial.

I was about to choose this Honda for no tune but when i realize how good it rides and sound's i leave it for someone else to pick it for a future no tune challenge to enjoy it more .
Happy to see it at Olympics anyway .

@smoothbore12 nice time in Goodwood careful you don't like the Boogieman

Wasn't intend to provoke the boogieman .....
Just left some tenths from last try at Goodwood and today i collect them :D
The funny thing is that this one (and the next one that i notice today ) was silver so i took 8.000 credits and the Gia .
Don't know if am first with the penalties system but if i am you must set a new world record to get in front.

I gave London a go and after a dozen of so laps, I got to about 1min05.xxx

Running at midnight after over a year without playing GT6, furthermore on my G29 rig for the first time in this combo....

It felt really weird...

For 98% of the time I played GT6, It was with the controller.
I am not accustomed to play GT6 with the wheel, let alone the DFGT or G29 here.

During most of my run, for some reason the G29 brake pedal kept on getting stuck just ever so slightly, and messing me up, enough to feel like I am driving with the parking brake on...

I think I can get real close to the minute mark under the right condition.

It's so weird to come back to GT6 After playing GTS for a full year.

I didn't realize how much I am now used to GTSport.

I think I have been spoiled, but GT6 IS still very good, I am Quite impressed with GT6.

Edit:
Although I am at 91% accomplishment, I think there is still a lot of life in GT6, And I personally still have a lot of unfinished business with GT6...

By the way, I was playing GT6 while having the Virtual 24h of LeMans broadcast live...

As I go to bed, they have just resumed driving the last 4hours of the race after a major red flag due to network connectivity issue affecting a few drivers...

I suppose city tracks are not that great by themselves, but they are different. So after the beginning, 15 minutes of gnashing the clunky bits, I adjusted to the understeer somewhat, and five more saw a lap that would stand for 20 minutes. When it sank, it did so by 0.4 seconds. I know, that's when you are to get started. :)

As for the Tokyo sideways competition, I didn't break 4000 yet and the board requires about 5000. But beating that is the plan. I only just started today.

5.00 o'clock and am home !!!!!
Hope to run some event today cause tomorrow i ll be back again at 7.30 as yesterday .
Just need to eat , get some hour in straight line and grab the controller when am ready.
Hope to make till weekend pass the school this time .

I see no participants at Goodwood and thats that's good since everyone can take part even if is cut or not .
Come on guys ,its short ,need no tuning and we need someone to ...... Scare the Boogeyman for Christ shake .

@Thematic ,first and last turn at no tune is crucial .
First you must close near the left barrier to ender with speed and last one cause if you brake late the car " open wide " to the wall and can't open throttle soon .
Am about the same on drift ,below 5.000 and usually mess the first part .

Time for straight line , coffee and whatever comes next .

Challenge Hub Presents: Forrest Gump's Belgian Odyssey

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.jpg

Spa-Francorchamps, the track that everyone loves. While I don't consider myself good at this track, as a huge F1 fan, I know this track well. Fortunately, our time doesn't matter much here - We just have to win, and not just once, but twice!

Race 1

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps_1.jpg

Race Grid:

1. Amuse NISMO 380RS Super Leggera '08
2. Hyundai Accent Rally Car '01
3. Mitsubishi CZ-3 Tarmac Rally Car '02
4. Nissan SILVIA Spec-R Aero (S15) Touring Car '02
5. Mine's Lancer Evolution VI '00
6. Lexus Weds Sport IS350 (SUPER GT) '08
7. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV Rally Car '97
8. Ford RS200 Rally Car '85
9. Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car '92
10. Opera Performance S2000 '04 (me)

We start the race by passing the Delta around the outside into La Source. We then pass the Evo IV rally car by slipstreaming it out of Eau Rouge/Raidillon into the Kemmel straight, then out-brake the RS200 into the right-left-right chicane up ahead. We pass the GT300 IS350 around the outside on the first part of the chicane, then get past the Mine's Evo VI out of the last part, into the downhill straight.

After this, we get a good chunk of clean air for most of Sector 2. The top 4 cars open up a big gap to the rest of the field, so we can only catch them much later in the lap. We pass the S15 right at the end of Sector 2, then make a dangerous double pass around the outside of the CZ-3 and the Accent at Blanchimont. Finally, we pass the 380RS into the final chicane, entering Lap 2 already in P1. After that, it's smooth sailing to the finish as we lead the entirety of Lap 2 with no trouble.

upload_2020-6-16_21-37-28.png

That was easy. Let's raise the bar for the next one, shall we?

Race 2

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps_2.jpg

Race Grid:

1. Amuse S2000 R1 '04
2. Subaru CUSCO SUBARU ADVAN IMPREZA (JGTC) '03
3. Toyota GAZOO Racing 86 #166 '12
4. BLITZ ER34 D1 SPEC (D1GP) '04
5. Toyota RSC Rally Raid Car '02
6. HPA Motorsports Stage II R32 '04
7. Lexus IS200 GT-1 '04
8. Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Car '97
9. Opera Performance 350Z '04
10. Opera Performance S2000 '04 (me)

Yep, we're racing at night for this one! I just thought it would be nice to give myself a bit more of a challenge for Race 2 by having it be a night race. I hope you guys don't mind.

We start the race by divebombing our big bro, the Opera 350Z, into La Source. We then pass the Lexus out of Eau Rouge and slipstream the FTO down the Kemmel Straight in order to pass it into the chicane. This pays off hugely, as we manage to get both the FTO and the 86 in a move that would make Mika Hakkinen blush!

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps_3.jpg

We then overtake the HPA Golf into the last part of the chicane, and the ER34 immediately after with our much superior corner exit speed. The top 3 are a bit far away, so we get some clean air until we catch the RSC and the S2000 R1 just after Pouhon. We pass them both down the inside on the last corner of Sector 2. We have quite a bit of a gap to the lead GT300 Impreza, so we have to push hard.

We end lap 1 in P2, about 5 seconds down on the Impreza. I manage to gain time on Sector 1 despite a mistake at La Source, so I know I'm going to catch this guy eventually. We push hard on Sector 2, knowing the AI can't match us there, and catch up to the Impreza just after the mid-speed S at the end of sector 2. We pass him into the next corner, and floor it towards the finish.

upload_2020-6-16_21-39-8.png

This second race needed a redo (because the NSX showed up on my first attempt and I simply could not catch him), but it was way more challenging - and fun - than the boring Race 1.

Always a pleasure to read Snow White's description.
Good thinking the night race , didn't think of that ,bravo mate.
Deffinetly they are opponents that make life difficult at this arcade race as happens to me with R34, that you can catch them only at last turn .
Opera goes flat out on that track without any surprises and that raze the joy factor especially on second sector and that was the purpose .

Have a good day guys cause mine will be a bit from F. World :banghead:

Hi dudes, I'd like off topic opinion.. Finally my Brera will have paint job and new paint on rims and new xenon in about month.. I'm looking for good summer tyres now..

Size is 235 / 45 R18

if someone has recommendation or good experience with some tyre I'd be happy to listen to it.. So far my favorite is this..

@bjl23 For today's swipes I put comfort medium * 4 and used these last and for the most part:
LSD initial torque 9, a. sensitivity 43, b. sensitivity 15. Otherwise default. I think the lower grade tyre adds about 10 % to score. That's with a wheel and my technique in general, though. This was the only one over 5000, and while the combination of my best sectors would be at least 5500, the best first was here.

I discovered that you can get a score of 1. This was at the end of the first part, I restarted then so no "funny" shot. The second sector was extremely challenging, as I didn't get it to fly through in one, but had to break traction again in the middle or introduce the vehicle to the wall bordering the straight. I think it's mostly like that with softs as well.

But the earlier (two?) drift results were with road cars, be the key the suspension or the lifting body or both. So many "parts" to this, well, GT-R. I realized yesterday that while I won against two fields with FG, the race against the other field was bad because I forgot to (make a note of the best time and) change the grid, last time - iow. the two results from that day were with one grid.

Jag race at the school. The race driver that makes the least amount of contact will be the winner and everybody has made some kind of contact. Just give it a shot and I’ll take a look at it and the guy that makes the least amount of contact will be in P1 it’s that simple. Secondly it doesn’t matter whether you win the race or not or how fast you go or what your total time is I could care less about that.
