GOODWOOD
very tricky challenge this one, Hoping I can get into the 47's, the car really needs better tyres.

@RMan72 ,or Boogieman or Hugh,or whatever ...... I hate you :banghead: i hate you ,:banghead: i hate you.
Since you pick the Ford .......why you just pass me in the same second ???

PS
Of course i didn't use Nos either , its an insult .
If you don't get lower than 53 I'll ask " boss" to give you a 1 second penalty cause your car was painted in other colour ......or whatever he can find
By the way ,i don't think anything can move faster than this GT40 in that race.

What are you " hiding" at Goodwood ? Don't understand the iron thing you wrote about .

Just try to poke the boogieman ( mostly i enjoy it today ) but i failed :sly:
Anyway since i will be miss all next round i guess ill only try next school till the end of this round .
Thanks " boss" for the opportunity to ride this GT 40 .
A vid from a 54. mid is what i get today ( multiple times ) and pity that i destroy the look of the hood trying to open a hole in first turn .

I wanted to have some Ford vs Ferrari action in here.. I wont drivr Ford out of principle :P
I did only few races but I don't think I can improve much due to my lack of tuning knowledge. I used tune from brasilian dude for first race, racing hard suspension for 2nd and this was 3rd on fully customizable but default settings.
If someone can help Ferrari to win this, Id appreciate it. The problem is the car UNDERSTEERS massively.. yes understeers.. so I just can't input throttle soon enough, I need to brake too early or make different not that tight lines through circuit :( :(

No tune/63.
Update, 3:09.213
Maybe I don't get just a spoon (0.5 % behind). If there was a place where I today found more shine than others, it was the tiny fast descending right (in the picture of the earlier post) with no full lift / higher exit speed.

You're just close to ...... close the " door" in my face :odd:

Tinkerbell turn the touring car masters to a Ford vs Ferrari .... Need someone to preserve history .
Hugh ,use your 7.9.5. iron or whatever to finish the job please .:D

Mamma Mia! A classic brawl-out at Rome!

Circuito di Roma.jpg

While not as good as the classic layout from GT2 and GT3, GT6's Rome Circuit is fun to drive. Though perhaps not on a slow car like this one, at least the event is relatively easy.

The AI field I got was easily outcornered by the Hudson, and were only really a match on the straights because of rubberbanding, so not much to write home about here.

Slipstreaming is very important on the first four corners of Lap 1, as by turn 4 you will already be in first place. At the start of the race, slipstream the car ahead of you and pull out at the last moment, just as you're about to hit his rear end. Pass it and the next two cars into turn 2, then slipstream the car in second past Turn 3, passing it around the outside if you can. If you did that, you can slipstream the lead car down this short straight and overtake it into Turn 4. After that, just keep your head down and do two qualifying laps to the finish.

After a few tries I got a time I'm pleased with: 3:08.509. That is pretty much as fast as I can go here, and I'm not sure if there's much more time to be gained beyond the 3:08.3 @smoothbore12 got.

Hi Guys
Can I please join your gang? I have a rough idea of the setup from reading posts, but pls feel free to give me any pointers necessary.
Perhaps a little background.... I played GT since the beginning, through all the PS formats - up to PS3. Bought a T500 with the nice pedals and an H-shifter for GT6.... Then put it all away for 5 yrs... so a few months ago I dug out the kit and started playing again, but I always wanted the triple screen. PS3's are about £50 now, so I did it. Hell, I thought.... why not 5 screens? - just need to build the screen stand next week and it will be done. I figured the 5 screens and rig will be useful for any future sim racing (don't fancy VR) and for £200 it would be silly not to try it out on GT6. I was gutted to find out that while I was away, they shut the servers down :-(. bit of a bummer really. Not overly bad for me as I really like racing against the clock, but this corner of the GTplanet seems to offer a little scope for offline competition. Looking forward to joining in if you guys are ok with that.
I am working on a motion rig using Arduino and windscreen wiper motors.

Of course you can join the gang @slybynight , everybody is welcome .
Read the very first posts at first page and hit it as you pleased.
Some of the challenges have some restrictions from time to time ,might be on tuning or the use of some driving aids or both sometimes.
Welcome and have a nice day .
