Thanks for the nickname guys... I love it! You have all made me feel very welcome, and you all seem like a bunch of fair eggs. In return, I feel like I should explain my history and my experience in the hub thus far. I have been playing since GT1. Having done a few track days, I felt it was the best race sim within my budget at the time so I stuck with the GT series through a couple of sets of wheels and pedals. That's all I ever wanted from GT....simulation. And so I have only ever played it with all assists off. I even shun paddle shifts on cars that don't have it in real life (i love my h shifter despite polyphonys tinkering).

The early no-tune times I posted were using 2 on tcs and 1 on abs - and I even felt guilty about that! Since then (and my posting bad), I have been turning assists on 1 by 1 every time someone posts a faster time than me. I am now on an auto box, with all assists on (at varying levels), so I am out of tricks! I wanted to let you all know in case I am breaking any rules.

....but I am learning for the first time about assist mechanics (never really used them). And boy are they good for shaving time.

Time for a second confession..... I have not posted my fastest no-tune time yet... or even my third fastest. Active steering was the last one I turned on (tonight) ...and it's VERY effective! Furthermore, I still think there is more in the bag.

Now, I suppose, a poker game of sorts begins........

PS in response to the 5 screen advantage, yes, there is one track marker I use on screen 2.. you'd see it on a triple, but would disappear on single screen, but I reckon it saves me a tenth at best.

PPS I look exactly like Milla. Put a red wig on me and you could not tell me apart from her.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news again but your 1:46.434 will not count because you didn't show your tyres in the in lap photo, you could of used different tyres, I'm sure you didn't but rules are rules.

Here you go... another fastest lap, but it doesn't even get onto my ranking board. So do I have to delete the board now? I am 8 cans down and I can still do the times, but am having trouble adhering to the rules!!!!

Sorry mate, I use to do sample photos on the 1st post but I haven't done that for a while because I haven't had a new player for a while, I'll make sure I do it in the future.
TT rounds are the only rounds that the photos needs to be done this way.

I'm sure you can do that time again, at least get close, I think you will the Div 2 guys beat. 👍

I notice no div1 players have declared yet.

Do they all play poker until the last minute?

@RMan72 is really the only Div 1 player left, some pop there heads in sometimes. It will be good to have another Div 1 player ;), we will see how you go in the next couple of rounds.

From your ranking board seems that you are close to div1 players rather than div2 .
Usually we don't hide our times except @bjl23 ( sometimes) and @RMan72 he might post some but always ( i mean always) post his final results the very last night that's why we call him The Boogieman.
Perhaps you will have to fight against him and if @nostradavor2 returns after summer you will be 3 players at div1.
Don't worry about the rules ,even me that am so much time here i forget sometimes to comply :lol:

@skeagracing ill try to do it if work leave me room for that .

It will be nice to bring some new players to heat up things 5th element .
You are lucky cause the rule to send urine sample is cancelled :lol:

I didn't get a shifter as I haven't been able to find one used, which might be acceptable expenditure. Though there's also the issue of mounting. Anyway, since "joining" late last year, I have turned on only skid recovery force - a real game changer unfortunately - either zero, one or two times (combos, not tries). When there's a competition that has it stuck to on, I consider if I want to participate.

Ever since you could have a "proper" wheel, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec or GT 4 depending on opinion, it wasn't even trying to be "all simulation", but I don't like to throw away what I do have. Btw. the console is having some issues, with dust I think. The disc takes longer to detect as readable after insertion and there's noises.

You need a cleaner for the disc.

I know its not really a simulator anymore. One day I will make the jump to PC, where Im hoping my kit will be useable, and perhaps improved. Personally I would rather compete without assists, but I guess there would need to be a lot of trust regarding lack of photo evidence? I had assumed everyone else had all the assists on for no-tune. Am I wrong? If so, I'd happily withdraw my entry and post times without.
If you have a slim, I have become a dab hand at restoring the internals! If you want a hand. I brought a dead one back to life by cleaning the laser. You'll need someone with long, very slender dextrous fingers to reconnect the drive though. The sort of person you'd want to give you a prostate examination.

Oh, when it's your turn to design a User Invitational Challenge, you can rule all "off" if you prefer.

Some people use assists (like me), other people don't use any(like @RMan72). There is no problem with you using them.
