I'll have a little go at this tomorrow if I can (quite like GVII :) ) hate FR cars though so won't do very well...:banghead:

Cool Lotus 👍 :)

I made a minor boo-boo, lol. Intially, I was gonna pick Tom's Supra, but I had a brain-fart while typing so we ended up in the Chaser :lol: :banghead: :embarrassed: :P :odd: :embarrassed: :D

From what I've heard already this morning,.. this is gonna be pretty crazy, LOL,.... glad your up to the challenge:cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: 👍

This may be a good time for some of you "wanna-learn-to-drift" people to try one of these comps. We have drivers of ALL skill levels involved and this car/track combo will make for numerous drifting opportunities:cool: Just post your verification to compete, somewhere in this thread, and I'll update the list 👍

See ya in the pits!

I will compete, but not seriously as i don't have an x-port. First i have to do the RX-7 race from Lotus ;)

Great DtV 👍 Don't worry about getting to serious, we like to concentrate more on helping eachother and having fun than winning :)

I'll periodically be posting important replies I read over at P&G reguarding any times or stratagies, to ensure know one falls out of the loop :)

I can also give out a link to the site,... upon request 👍

Good luck racing :cool:

You might as well just put it in your first post for future reference ;) (the URL) :)

Nope, you can win it in an Amateur race...forgot which one though...ah, the Altezza Championship.

Unfortunately no,. it is not buyable.

BUT :) It' can be won at the Amature League - Altezza Championship. Just do the save/reload trick to ensure you end up getting the Chaser ;) Should be a fairly quick series, even if you have to drive an Altezza( don't remember series restriction) it's got 1008 hp, so you should fly right through it 👍

Ok,... I'll do that. I'm a little wery about posting links to other sites outside of the rumble strip in respect to the AUP ;)

Oh, well i think Jordan won't mind because it isn't for either spam, it's just for information of an OLR race.

will it? I think myn is around 930 bhp...

It's likely you have over 300 miles on it,..... it's not buyable, if I remember correctly,... so it should come "broken-in",... slap on the stage 4 turbo and goto your settings screen or garage. If the # isn't 1008,.. then your over 300 mile. But no worries,.... even a "broken-down" Altezza LM will burn through that series with no probs 👍

The feedback I'm recieving from P&G looks similar to this comment by Jake E:

Why didn't you just make us run the Chaser on sim tires instead?!
oh, this is gonna be PAINFUL

and

I'd compare the traction of this car equivalent to the Cobra

:lol: :D :D :D :D 👍

:lol: It looks like i'm gonna need a new set of T8s after this then ;)

this looks quite cool 👍
have seen video footage of these things drifting in japan
huge Hp and no tcs hmmmmm let me think..........
...count me in

Grom at P&G posted the first T2 of the comp,... it was a 52.1xx. I'm at 52.1xx also.

Here's me settings stratagy:

Springs = 4/20:
The front definately needs to be soft if your gonna ride the rumbles :) The 20 (stiff) on the rear helps the car grab a little better, and the rear end isn't affected by the rumbles near as much as the front.

Ride Height = 90/90 (min/min):
I like as low of RH as possible without throwing sparks. Im not seeing any with the car at min/min, so I'm going with it.

Bound = 1/1:
This is a very soft setting. A secondary option would be 10/10, but I've found a slightly better turning radius with the 1/1.

Re-Bound = 10/10:
This, like the bound is very soft, but doesn't so much affect turning radius, but affects rear wheel grip and drifting balance. The 1/1 is not a good idea here.
Note: I havent yet attempted a staggered setting for the bound/rebound. Example 1/10 - 10/1 ......or..... 10/1 - 1/10. These are also, at times, an efficient way to tune them.

Camber = 2.5/2.5
I will usually begin at 0/0 and work my way up individualy, then go back down the opposite way. I ended with these CA settings as what I considered to be the most efficient for grip.

Toe Angle = 0.5/-2
With this set-up,... the front tires (0.5) are toed in just a hair. I don't like getting into the negatives with the front because it will grip too much during a drift. The rear (-2) is toe'd out completely to exploit the turning radius as much as possible. -2 = \ / (think of rollerblades and how you would need to position your feet to turn the best)

Stabalizers = 1/1
I havent tried a staggered setting yet,... I only know that the 7/7 isn't near as good as the 1/1 for me. I'm thinking 1/7 may work, because when I didn't like the 7/7, it was because the car was understeering.

Brakes = 19/24
This is my standard brake setting,... when I tune the brakes,... I will do a 1000 meter dash, but put start/stop/start sequence in there (zero to 100 to zero) in there to check for braking efficientcy.

LSD's = 60/60/60
It's trick to drive with the LSD's cranked like this,. the car will want to oversteer bad,.. but they offer great accell through the corners if you dont get sideways. Another alternative would be 5/5/60, but you'll spin the tires in the corners. I stick with 60 on the decel no matter what because I don't like to touch the brake when I'm drifting. With it at 5, the car tends to 'plow' too much when trying to drift.

Gears =
2.146
1.391
0.990
0.743
0.587
0.478
5.499
42
I did not use the tranny-trick here. I used a version of it, but what I do, makes gear 1 VERY short,. so you never have to bother with going to it. 2nd is just like 1st, you only use it to get rolling. I find myslef using 3rd most often when acclling from a hair-pin this week. The gearing, allows 4, 5, and 6 to have much more utilization of the power, instead of dividing it evenly and wasting a lot down in 1, 2, and 3 :D

NOTE: My trick for this gear setup works like this: Start with new gearbox - put final at 4.000 - goto auto and touch R1 twice, then L1 once - goto final and put it all the way to the right - goto auto and touch R1 - goto 6th and touch L1 until the numbers match (3 times touch L1 if I remember correctly). The gears should all say what mine say now :)

ASM and TCS = Zero,... for obvious reasons :D

Hope these help,.. or maybe some one has somthing to add :)

Good luck racing
brian

have run in the 51's this is so cool ;)
run a higher gear than suggested (red flashing thing on the taco) tis a good way to avoid wheelspin
...but that depends on your perspective, whether you want to go fast or look fast
this car is insane :cool:
cheers

Ok guess I'll have to stick me a chaser in the garage through MK's

OMG! This car is :eek: I can't drive it! :( where's the downforce ? :confused: what a piece of $hit!! I hate it :banghead: :banghead:

LOL,.. I'd have to agree with ya Bollocks. I had no clue what I was getting into, and already heared some horror stories. BUT,... when I hopped in an got aquainted with the course,.... WWOOOOOOOOO DOGGY! This car is a friggin riot! It's soooooooooooooooooooooooooo tempting to just drift this thing all the way around the course,... but it's not the fast way,... so,... I'm tryin to keep that to a minimum.

Max,.... no, sorry, no Chasers over 793 (hp in replay file) :lol: Do I need to add you to the list?

Lotus,..... heheheheheheheheheheheheheheeh ;)

Tingboy,.... glad to have ya aboard! Good luck to ya 👍

Well I did the Altezza race and won the Altezza LM, which I wasn't really willing to give up. So I still need to get the Chaser.
