Ok I'll state everything again and give an extra clue at the cost of 1 JG Suit and 1 horn.
I kept leaving the track and going to the set up menu.
I was adjusting either the suspension or the transmission each time.
Someone said:
"Hey (my PSN), why do you keep exiting and re-joining the track?"
I responded to this with a statement which made everyone laugh and then kept slagging me for it! If anyone can get reasonably close I will give it to them.
