Real shame if the SEMA Awards have well and truly stopped. I like this.

Even though PD has stopped attending SEMA, I don't think there's anything preventing them from adding cars from the show. It could be like how they'd added cars that've appeared at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance that didn't necessarily win the GT Trophy, like that pre-war Alfa Romeo 8C. At any rate, I'd definitely be down for more tuned cars with interesting builds - especially the return of previous SEMA GT Award winners. Doubly so if they do something that we can't do within GT7's tuning, like changing the placement of the engine or even changing the drivetrain.

Ford Capri RS2600 '71

NSU Prinz 1000 TT '67

Jaguar Mark 2 3.4 Litre '65

MG MGA Roadster '58

MG MGB Roadster '63

Triumph TR6 Roadster '70

Amazing how critical small British sports cars are to car culture in general - without them they'd be no Corvette or MX5 - and yet GT7 completely ignores them.

Don't forget the Lotus Elan, if the brand returns! I think that model was the direct inspiration for the Mazda Miata.

Huh, weird. Could have sworn I made this post only yesterday:
At the opposite end of the scale, there's also waaaay too many one-car posts too.
And yet... two more single-car posts...

From the first post and the smallest possible set of requirements:

And don't just post pictures, or make individual posts for individual cars - it's a wishlist thread.
Put single cars somewhere else. Why not a Suggestions/Cars forum thread?

I wonder if the current GT2 racers would technically go into Gr.3 if a couple of them were added? Could be a great way for KTM and Maserati to have representation there.

For my wishlist I have set my own additional ground rules going off of the idea of “If I could only add 3 cars to the game period, what would they be?”

An extra wrinkle includes that I have to pick one from the Americas, Asia and Europe. So without further ado, here we go.

-Chevrolet Camaro Z28 4th Gen
1999-chevrolet-camaro-z28

Gran Turismo has never really had the largest selection of 80s/90s American cars, outside of maybe GT2. But one car that has been there from the start is the 4th generation Chevrolet Camaro, appearing in the series first entry, and probably one of the most iconic American cars in the series. GT7’s visual upgrade system opens the opportunity to potentially replicate the Camaro LM Race Car, or at the very least the Camaro Race Mod from the PS1 era.

-Mazda Eunos Cosmo
1991-mazda-cosmo-type-e-jc-003.jpg

One of the many Japanese cars left behind on the PS1, the 90s Cosmo is a Luxurious Rear-Wheel Drive Sports Coupe powered by either the 1.3L 13B or the 2.0L 20B rotary engines. This is a car I wish appeared in more titles, and I feel would be a fun addition to GT7’s roster.

-TVR Griffith 500
DSC_7506.jpg

The Griffith 500 is another one that soldiers on from PS1 times, and like the Camaro featured in every game up to GT6. With a mighty 5.0L V8, light weight, good looks and a bad attitude this would give the lonely TVR Tuscan some much needed company.

I have fond memories driving the yellow headlighted Camaro late into the night!

I think we need more Suzuki models, especially now that we have the two major variants of the Jimny. But all I can think of is the first-gen SX4 (as it was designed by Giorgetto Giugaro) and the classic Alto Works Suzuki Sport Limited. Other than that, I might say the GSXR/4 concept, but I'd say the much newer Suzuki VGT has a much prettier design while having an identical concept of "a Suzuki concept sportscar powered by a motorcycle engine."

Speaking of Japanese cars, now that we have the 2024 iteration of the R35, I still think it'd be splendid to see the first iteration of the R35 from the late 00s, alongside the GT-R50 by Italdesign. (Personally, of any road-going R35, I think that first one that debuted in 2007 is also the best-looking.)

The Suzuki X90 would be a good fit perhaps.

I'd love to see the X90 in the game too. Thing looks like the Cappuccino's twin if it were from that one SpongeBob episode where only his arms are ripped.

It'd be a good competitor for the Jimnies we have as well. Could do some sort of Kei-rallycross custom race series.

I feel we need a couple key models.

Last of the Fox-body GTs

Last of the Mk2 GTIs

Two cars from their respective brands that never featured in the franchise. Both cars were significant in their eras for popularity and continued improvements until their generational replacements.

Bonus wish. The Ultimate Driving Machine’s ultimate driving machine.

GROUP 5!!
Zakspeed Capri
Porsche 935
Big Block Monza
Lancia Beta Monte Carlo
BMW 320 Turbo

TRACKS!!
I’d be good with their original tracks if that’s all they could do.
Apricot Hill
Autumn Ring/Mini
Ascari Race Resort
Matterhorn
Pretty much anything we don’t have from previous gran turismo’s.

Not a car or track, but I wish with all my might that they’d let us toggle the HUD on and off with an assignable button and let us share tunes an gift cars or share credits, if they won’t do that, give us more than the big three. The game is more enjoyable with the HUD off and earning a fair amount of credits for you time.

I would like to see all the AutoBacs Super GT 2024 series in the game.
=> added as a Championship with all the current rounds. That also means PD should add the following circuits: Okayama. This circuit also hosted the Asian Le Mans race in 2009 (1000km). Perfect to introduce Endurance racing in GT7.
Sugo: one of the biggest circuit parks in Japan and owned by Yamaha.
Motegi: appeared in every GT game except for Sports and GT7 (off course ).PD did scanning on Motegi somewhere this year, so hopefully we receive this track in the near future.. Or GT8.
As a bonus i would like to see a return for the Tokyo R246 track. What memories i have for this track in GT3 and GT4!

Wishlist for cars is more modern age based:

I would defenitely would like to see a more modern BMW, Mercedes, Audi car. For BMW any M car is good, but if i had to choose i would like to get the M3 Touring car. Not for the US and Chinese markets though. Or.... The new M5 coming in 2025.
Audi => RS6. Fantastic memories using this car in GT5.
Mercedes => AMG C63. => make an event in the rain on the Nurburgring with this car.

And then in contrary to what many want in the game => a concept car. The 2028 Nissan GT-R.

As for the rest: The biggest thing i'm missing in GT7 is endurance races. I have no clue why PD doesn't included this in the game. My hope that this is still coming is actually non existant. Sometimes you would like to crawl in to the head of Kaz or the PD developers and see for yourself what their thought processes are :)

Come to think of it, I cannot say I'd mind an AP2 version of the Honda S2000, both because it looks a bit different at a glance and because we'd be able to get an S2000 in Brand Central. Not to mention that it could get its own very interesting swaps, perhaps such as the engine from the 2&4 Concept since the S800 and S660 get it. (That is, assuming the AP1 model we already have doesn't get any additional swaps.)

Just for those that may not follow other games.

I don’t know about the licences for this the cars on this pack, but if they’re not exclusive to RaceRoom, there’s hope for the GT franchise. We(those of us that don’t have access to GT-GT6) haven’t seen these cars since GT6.

My EV picks:

Pininfarina Battista
Ford Mustang Mach E
Tesla Roadster (first-gen)
Jaguar I-Pace

Honestly, I'm not even sure what else to put here, as it seems that many OEMs are reneging on their EV plans. That said, I'd be down for these, alongside the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. The first one is probably the prettiest EV I've seen, while the Mustang Mach E is certainly popular on the roads. The OG Tesla Roadster is neat, too, if only because it's a pre-Musk Tesla. Then, for the I-Pace, I could've sworn there was a one-make series involving that thing, and it was tied in with Formula E. On that note, I'd also be very content getting a Formula E racer, and I do recall PD expressing interest in adding one.

PD teasing Apricot Hill in the pre-launch "Find Your Line" trailers would suggest it was at least in the works at some point... but I don't recall seeing it in any datamined or leaked content/references since then.

I like the last two added tracks (Lake Louise and Eiger Nordwand) but they aren't really suitable for racing a wide range of vehicles, so hopefully the next tracks they add in GT7 (if there are any) are a bit more versatile.
