The Gran Turismo series needs this

Although it's nice, it's not as realistic as you think. I've tried it and it feels wrong.

GT Series don't need this anyway.

More like in Grand Theft Auto.

It looks fun I must admit, but this engine seems to be focused solely on body deformation physics, rather than driving physics. Imagine how much resources it would take to make that work in Gran Turismo with the current console generation. I doubt the PS4 would be even capable of doing that without sacrificing other things.

Maybe in the future when developers like PD have a console with enough power to spare, and just AFTER they are done with everything else that is much more important in the game. But now? Hell no. Not only it is impossible I think, but GT doesn't really need it. It needs other things first.

Oh, and by the way. Cars look a bit too wobbly. Like if they were held on by bubble gum. They lack rigidity.

Actually, PS4 should be tailor made for something like this. Getting it to work efficiently in a videogame is a challenge, but eventually someone is going to do something like it.

The physics, including car dynamics, do look really nice.

I see daan is here and this will probably be shut down.

OP (original poster) use the search feature there are several threads you could have stated this at.

There is another thread on here all about soft body physics using Cry Engine 3. However, after searching for a good 10 minutes I cannot find it.

I think the GT series would benefit greatly from implementing realistic crash damage like this. That said, the cars in these videos look far too bouncy, & the metal the vehicles are made of what looks more like wobbly plastic. The physics look entertaining, but not very realistic imo.
