THIS FORTNIGHT'S THEME

This week, you’ll have to pay a tribute to Polyphony’s imagination. Last winner @VulcanSpirit set this theme, let's hear what he has to say :

Anyone who has played GT Sport might have noticed that it has its own share of unique imaginary brands. When was the last time you ordered from Nicola Pizza Delivery, or booked a stay at Hotel Bellevue? Perhaps you might have heard of Mistral Motorsport, a fairly new but fast-growing racing team…

Your task is to create a custom livery based on one of the game’s fictional brands, found in the Fantasy Logos section of My Library. The brand you choose must be the primary sponsor, although other secondary or tertiary sponsors (including appropriate manufacturers) can be used as required.

Feel free to choose any paintable car you like. Anything from racing liveries to promotional wraps, or even something like a delivery vehicle or hire car, is welcome.

Good luck, and get creating!

CARS :
- No restrictions.

LIVERIES :
- As long as it’s safe for work, anything goes.

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS :
- The Fantasy Logo/brand must be the “primary” sponsor.
- Secondary and tertiary sponsors (including manufacturers) allowed where appropriate.
- For racing liveries, Sport Mode compatibility is recommended, but not compulsory.

BONUS PICTURES SETTINGS :
- Two bonus pictures.

USER MADE DECALS :
- No restrictions.

GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

ENTRY SUBMISSION

- The only way you can take part is to be a member of the GTPlanet forums. If you haven't created your account yet, click here
- Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
- Unsure how to? Copy and paste the following:
Code:
[COLOR=red][B]FINAL ENTRY[/B][/COLOR]
- One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
- You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
- Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
- Absolutely no entries which utilize edited/hacked file saves.

- Winner gets to choose the following Fortnight's theme.
- Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
- The Host may ask for the original image/livery and it must be submitted if so.
- It's recommended to share the original livery online (in-game) to prove it’s your work.
- Winner, second and third places will have to share the links of the liveries for the Hall of Fame thread

ENTRY PRESENTATION

- All images shall have preview images which may not exceed 640 pixels in either direction (main and bonus pictures)
- You have to post two main pictures of your entry using the mandatory locations and settings as shown below
- You are allowed to post two bonus pictures in a spoiler with free location and settings (unless the unique restrictions of the week’s theme specify something else)
- You have to make one post with ONLY the 4 pictures and the FINAL ENTRY mark. If you want to add precisions/background story/links, you are allowed to double-post under your entry. The best way to do it will be to "reply" to your own post.

- It is recommended you host your image either here on GTPlanet (via the Media section), or on Flickr
- Not sure how to submit your image? Here's a guide for both methods mentioned above.
- A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
- Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!
- No heavy post-game editing, slight enhancing is allowed.

- You can choose between the Shiretoko 03 location or the White Sands 01/09 locations. No other location will be allowed for the main pics.

DEADLINE

October 16, 2019 (23:59, CEST/GMT+1)

Hmmm...

Sounds a little bit like this one :
Competition 25 (Back to Basics)
Almost but I allowed anything in game, not strictly fantasy!

I assume we are allowed to use real world tyre brand sponsors? What about lubricant brands?

I like the theme. I've used the fantasy decals many times before. Mostly, I just do daily races, but I'm getting more and more into creating liveries. There's a rusty Dodge I've been working on for a few days. I should be finished with it in a day or two, and then get started on a new one for this competition. It'll be my first entry.
Looking forward to it. 👍

I started mine last night. i really hope nobody else is thinking of doing what i'm doing
Most of the Polyphony sponsors are better suited for secondary, I think. So if you avoid the evident ones, I think you’re safe!

I’m gonna try and do a car that I don’t think anyone else has ever done
Hyped to see that (internally scrolling the hundreds of entries we’ve seen so far :odd:)

So just to be clear cuz I am slow, real companies can be used as minor sponsors. The major is the only one that has to be fantasy.
Yes. And you can use discovery/custom decals too. So a Mistral Motorsport Itasha car fits the rules.

Yeah, I hope you're ready for a second Volkswagen in a row!

This livery has already existed for a couple months now, but the story behind this one goes: I was watching the sailboats in the bay and admiring their colours and designs during the summer. It was then that I decided I really needed to make a sailboat-themed livery for a car in GT Sport. That's when I remembered that Pacific Coast Radio was a sponsor in the game and would work perfectly for my needs. So while I was setting out creating this livery, I decided the Volkswagen VGT most resembled a boat out of all the cars in GT Sport and got to work.

I finally finished this livery and posted it to my gallery thread here. It was pretty well received compared to the others immediately surrounding it so I decided to throw it into this competition and see how it does. This might be a relatively simple livery even by my standards, but I really like the way it looks.

You can read my original post here, also available for download:

P.S. I was listening to this song while I made this livery. It fit perfectly with the theme I was trying to convey.

So summer may be gone, but you can live it up all year round with this livery on your VW!

I reckon I've got a good idea but want to see a few other entries before I submit anything just yet.
If you already have a car done, I suggest that you post it as soon as possible. It’ll secure your idea and you could still udpate the livery/picture after that.

I wouldn’t wait until the last day to post a Jupiter or Mistral livery, for instance ;)

don't really care..hiroshima plates to fit the narrative, kei or not, plus the yellow looks better...sue me. i knew SOMEONE would gatekeep the plate
Sorry, I just wanted to point it out in case of you not knowing it as I‘ve seen lots of people with no clue about how Japanese plates work.
