THIS FORTNIGHT'S THEME

This week, we will dress the future of cars. Last winner @Cytoria set this theme, let's hear what he has to say :

With the launch of the Jaguar VGT and the Lamborghini announcement in Monaco, the Vision Gran Turismo program come in the spotlight again.

This week I want you to focus on these underdogs. They seem useless in the game, but I want you to dress them as race cars!

You can pick every Vision Gran Turismo car, including the Gr.1 or Gr.3 variants.

CARS :
- Any car from the Vision Gran Turismo program.
- Gr.X, Gr.1 or Gr.3 variants are allowed.

LIVERIES :
- Original liveries only, no replicas

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS :
- The car must wear a « realistic » racing livery, not an Art Car or a Show Car livery.
- The livery don’t have to be Sport Mode compatible.
- You can use an existing series or some futuristic interpretation.

BONUS PICTURE SETTINGS :
- Two bonus pictures.
- No restrictions.

USER MADE DECALS :
- No restrictions

GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

ENTRY SUBMISSION

- The only way you can take part is to be a member of the GTPlanet forums. If you haven't created your account yet, click here
- Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
- Unsure how to? Copy and paste the following:
Code:
[COLOR=red][B]FINAL ENTRY[/B][/COLOR]
- One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
- You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
- Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
- Absolutely no entries which utilize edited/hacked file saves.

- Winner gets to choose the following Fortnight's theme.
- Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
- The Host may ask for the original image/livery and it must be submitted if so.
- It's recommended to share the original livery online (in-game) to prove it’s your work.
- Winner, second and third places will have to share the links of the liveries for the Hall of Fame thread

ENTRY PRESENTATION

- All images shall have preview images which may not exceed 640 pixels in either direction (main and bonus pictures)
- You have to post two main pictures of your entry using the mandatory locations and settings as shown below
- You are allowed to post two bonus pictures in a spoiler with free location and settings (unless the unique restrictions of the week’s theme specify something else)
- You have to make one post with ONLY the 4 pictures and the FINAL ENTRY mark. If you want to add precisions/background story/links, you are allowed to double-post under your entry. The best way to do it will be to "reply" to your own post.

- It is recommended you host your image either here on GTPlanet (via the Media section), or on Flickr
- Not sure how to submit your image? Here's a guide for both methods mentioned above.
- A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
- Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!
- No heavy post-game editing, slight enhancing is allowed.

MANDATORY PICTURES

- You have to post a front quarter view and a rear quarter view of your car.
- You can choose between the Shiretoko 03 location or the White Sands 01/09 locations. No other location will be allowed for the main pics.

If it's your first entry or if you struggle with the picture settings, have a look at the tutorials below :

"I don't want to waste my credits on a Gr. X car!"

There, I got the bitching out of the way you guys.
Thanks for exorcising this but...

Gr.X, Gr.1 or Gr.3 variants are allowed

Also, seeing my garage, I won’t believe you if you say you’ve never got a VGT as a daily reward!

Mind you, you escaped from an all electric cars LEC, as I switched at the last minute. :D

Ok, I am game for this one, let's see if my plan can pull a result this time at least!

I have an e-tron, so it's all good.

Thank you sir for beeing bountiful to us!

I am really not a fan of these VGTs... I have not even made one livery on them.

Looking forward for this challenge and the entries on this round!

Starting off with first honors is a VGT car that PD nor it's manufacturer gave much attention to.

My entry is the Copen Racing Jacket VGT made into a Super Taikyu entry wearing a simple livery similar to what many of Daihatsu's rally cars had. The Copen is entered in Super Taikyu's ST5 class for cars with engines 1500cc or below in capacity. While the Copen is a Kei car in it's regular form, the Racing Jacket should take the fight to the slightly larger Fits, Vitzs and Demios for ST5 honors.

Alright, I have an idea.
To be honest, it was more fun once again than I expected. This new Jag is really a handsome and beautiful designed car.
Jaguar in general is getting more and more interesting to me. Maybe I should consider visiting my friendly Jaguar dealership, they are giving very cheap leasing offers at the end of the year for the XE...

Anyway, this is my work in progress:

After my big disappointment with the Jaguar VGT and my Jag dealer I had to switch to another idea.

Here we go:

In a near, slightly alternative future. The Brexit is still a thing, the impeachment of Donald Trump was unsuccesful and your mother is still making the 🤬 best cake. More important, the TCR Series became wild. They decided that twice the power output and 4WD would be a great idea. Rules will change 2022. VW was desperatley searching for a suitable car in their row and found it in their VGT concept. Volkswagen teamed up once again with Engstler Motorsport and rolled this one out.

Trying to figure out whether to turn what I've got now into a full race livery or just a track day special version.
