THIS FORTNIGHT'S THEME

This week, we are trangressing some laws. Last winner @silverman_GT set this theme, here are the details :

Welcome to an alternate reality where sponsorship regulations aren't as strict as they were today; a world where motorsport is ruled by an army race cars in all shapes and sizes, wearing the white and red colors of Marlboro, and a world where rally stages are shaken by a fleet of dominant Martini Racing cars.

This time, we're looking back at the iconic legacy of tobacco/alcohol sponsorships in motorsport, with a modern twist - visualize your visions of modern-day cars wearing the vibrant and distinct colors of forbidden brands!

CARS
:
- post-2010 Gr.1, Gr.2, Gr.3, Gr.4, and Gr.B cars.
- All Red Bull X cars
- Super Formula SF19
- Formula D BRZ
- Subaru WRX STI Isle of Man Time Attack Car
- Toyota SF-R Racing Concept
- Track day specials: Fittipaldi EF7, McLaren P1 GTR, Pagani Zonda R, Aston Martin Vulcan
- Vision GT "race cars" that don't have any equivalents in the main four groups: Audi e-tron VGT, BMW VGT, Alpine VGT Race Mode, Lexus LF-LC VGT, Daihatsu Copen RJ VGT.

LIVERIES :
-Original designs are highly encouraged; but inspirations from existing real-life liveries are allowed - including "modern interpretations".
-Original designs based on tobacco/alcohol brands which had never appeared in motorsport are also allowed.

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS :
-Must feature a tobacco/alcohol brand as the main sponsorship, past or present.
-For artistic and creativity sake, "alternate" versions of tobacco/alcohol brands are also allowed (for example: barcodes as seen on Marlboro/Silk Cut cars, Benson & Hedges' "Buzzin' Hornets", "Mission Winnow", etc.), but make sure to mention them.
-Smaller sub-sponsors must be a post-2010 brand/company, or an old brand/company with post-2010 logos.
-Must be Sport Mode compatible.

BONUS PICTURE SETTINGS :
- Up to two bonus pictures
- At least one shot of the car on track (either moving or standstill. Pit lane and trackside Scapes are also allowed)

USER MADE DECALS:
- No restrictions.

GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

ENTRY SUBMISSION

- The only way you can take part is to be a member of the GTPlanet forums. If you haven't created your account yet, click here
- Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
- Unsure how to? Copy and paste the following:
Code:
[COLOR=red][B]FINAL ENTRY[/B][/COLOR]
- One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
- You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
- Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
- Absolutely no entries which utilize edited/hacked file saves.

- Winner gets to choose the following Fortnight's theme.
- Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
- The Host may ask for the original image/livery and it must be submitted if so.
- It's recommended to share the original livery online (in-game) to prove it’s your work.
- Winner, second and third places will have to share the links of the liveries for the Hall of Fame thread

ENTRY PRESENTATION

- All images shall have preview images which may not exceed 640 pixels in either direction (main and bonus pictures)
- You have to post two main pictures of your entry using the mandatory locations and settings as shown below
- You are allowed to post two bonus pictures in a spoiler with free location and settings (unless the unique restrictions of the week’s theme specify something else)
- You have to make one post with ONLY the 4 pictures and the FINAL ENTRY mark. If you want to add precisions/background story/links, you are allowed to double-post under your entry. The best way to do it will be to "reply" to your own post.

- It is recommended you host your image either here on GTPlanet (via the Media section), or on Flickr
- Not sure how to submit your image? Here's a guide for both methods mentioned above.
- A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
- Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!
- No heavy post-game editing, slight enhancing is allowed.

MANDATORY PICTURES

- You have to post a front quarter view and a rear quarter view of your car.
- You can choose between the Shiretoko 03 location or the White Sands 01/09 locations. No other location will be allowed for the main pics.

Oh yes. This will do nicely.

Edit: I have a few Marlboro Team designs in the bank so what's the position on replicas here?
eg: Are these considered 1:1 replicas?

Pretty well all of my liveries are inspired by Martini, Rothmans or Marlboro! Not that I drink very much or ever smoke. As one of my favourite liveries is for a Mazda TC - is this particular car allowed?

Any of the oldskool livery creators should know cigarette and alcohol liveries are my bread and butter, Thankfully I have a new tv arriving today (My old one crapped the bed) and a new laptop so I can create SVG's again 👍 even though they aren't eligible for this week, I will most definately have to find the time to enter this one.

I like to think of them as "modern-day interpretations", which means you're all good. 👍

On the other hand, I feel like the no "1:1 replicas" rule might be confusing to most participants - do correct me if I'm wrong, but considering that tobacco sponsorships have been outlawed by the FIA since 2006, I don't think the cars eligible for this contest have sported a tobacco/alcohol livery aside from modern-day interpretations like the retro "Rothmans" 911 RSR ran by Porsche at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans:

That aside, I will make the rules clearer for everyone and I'll let you guys know when the OP gets updated.

I did consider the MX-5 TC as a part of this contest, since it's definitely one of my favorite cars in GT Sport. Unfortunately since it's technically based on the '89 Eunos Roadster - which means the car existed before tobacco sponsorships were outlawed, I had to exclude the car from the contest, with a heavy heart. :(

Please be aware of some changes in the rules :

In another world in another time, when tobacco advertising wasn't banned and Porsche had kept racing the 919, instead of sending a vaguely Rothmans-inspired 911 RSR to Le Mans in 2018, they fielded this. Complete with the 70 years celebrations and modern day official race decals it's how a true descendant of the 956/962 might have looked.

A throwback to simpler times... when all you needed was a can of carling, some cigs and a park bench.... the car number is the number of deaths (in the thousands) in the U.K. in 2010 caused by smoking.

This thing happened way too easily and way too quickly
