I would like to see a Porsche Carrera Cup numberboard, or a stock GT one, used instead of a Blancpain one.
Any chance the USA Yokohama Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge number plates and liveries are acceptable, or must I render my favorite USA Yokohama Challenge livery badged with a Carrera Cup numberplate?

FINAL ENTRY

When I was looking for some Porsche liveries, I found GaazMaster MotorSport digital work and fell in love with some of their liveries.
Here is the original livery designed for the Carrera Cup Asia 2019, a Chinese livery with the official Porsche colors.

The base is a Matte Black paint with some semi transparent decals for the stipes.
I will make the livery on the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR later. Here is the link for the 911 GT3 RS.

Work has been more than a bit manic so I've missed a couple of compo, but I humbly submit the above entry for your delectation.

The idea behind this car is the phenomenon of the customer cars. In Carrera Cup and other single make series teams tend to prepare cars on behalf of customers, individuals who pay to race. Many times you hear comments like "The Redline Racing prepared car..." even though the car in question is covered in stickers that don't seem to match. Those are customer cars.

Sometimes customers commit to a full series, other times they enter event by event. Many teams have a 'stock' race car with basic livery ready for one-off or limited budget racers - and that's the inspiration of this design.

Team Parker Racing have the basic Porsche colour livery as their stock car. I took that basis and added the sort of classic anonymous companies you've never heard of in the available white space. I imagined that the stickers would be as cheap as possible to produce, hence they are no more than three colour and sit rather awkwardly in the overall livery design. I imagine Sally Wright is a wife or daughter of one of the accountants/lawyers at Baker Tilly.
Because I could, I've added my work logo as well.

Not hugely pretty, but I'd like to think I'm authentic (ish)

Stay safe, keep washing your paws, and have fun!

S.

College hasn’t really let me develop a really complex entry but it’s definitely one I’m proud of. I tried something different this time: I usually let my sponsor choice dictate the design of the car, but this time I found a design I liked and picked the sponsors that would fit it. Hopefully it came out as good as I thought it out!
That design looks somewhat familiar :lol:
