The GT3 UK map.

Okay... There's a whole bunch of us online, GT3-freaks hanging around this country, but the number of times I have played GT3 against someone else who also owns a PS2 & GT3 can be counted on the fingers of no hands.

With that in mind, I've created the GT3 UK map - it's a clickable map showing locations and forum-based contact details of thos online GT3-freaks. Basically it should give you a better idea of who you know on the forums and just how close they really are.

If you aren't on, and want to be added, or are on and want to be removed, please e-mail me, or stick your head in this thread.

iLink, anything My GT3 2-player mode is sorely under-used, as I have no kid brother to whup, and my girlfriend prefers watching the soaps...

Hopefully we can build an ACTUAL GT3 community rather than just an online one (no disrespect to forum sites, but playing against another person beats posting times any day).

Yeah, I agree with you 100%. Problem here in the US is the great distances involved. But maybe something could come about.

Famine, would you be willing to do a map like the one above but for the US as well? If it's not to much work for you that is.
It would be interesting to see if we could accomplish the same thing that you are trying to accomplish but over here in the USA.

I'll try - although my knowledge of US geography is pretty shaky. But still better than most Americans'

Now I know what the image map programme I used does I can edit the HTML directly without having to bother with it anymore, so it should be a little quicker.

You've got Mr. Derek near you, but also Scooby-Roo, who I didn't put on as I don't know exactly where he is. Both are pretty fast though - new MF record from Roo...

Well... if you go to the site and put your mouse over the dots, up pop some names and rough locations. If you click on the dots, profiles on (at the moment) GT3T or GTP pop up.

But I think it's liquidyellow in Slough, Nightmage82 in "London" and gillrichard in "London".

I wouldn't know. I know of a few Scandinavian drivers - Doohan in Denmark, mk himself in Finland for example - but none other than you in Sweden. If you want to do one for Sweden, feel free - I don't have a monopoly on stealing maps and putting dots on them - but I think you'd struggle for forum-browsing GT3 players.

interestingly enough, I just returned from NEGTP (New England GT Party). I only managed one day, but others were there from Thursday night til this morning.

There was a constant basis of 6 TV's ilinked and running for most of the day. Upstairs there were 3 more networked X-Box's running Halo. It's the first time I've run against other players in a real time envirnoment, other than the 3 or four times I've run a two player. What makes me wonder, is that I know there are other people out there that play in my area (after all, it's available everywhere in the US).

Very nice idea you've got there Famine. I'll have to take a look and see what's it's like.

Notice how you're much closer to most of us than you are to most of your fellow countrymen, Famine. And all of you could almost as easily and cheaply meet up at my place as anywhere in the UK, as I live 45 minutes from Schiphol Airport.
