When GT4 was going to come out there were a number of people that created very entertaining mockups of what a case for GT4 would look like. I was contemplating if something like this could be done for a GT5 press release. Instead of having a bunch of people shouting about the random things they would like to have changed in in the GT series, it could all be collected in to a official looking document. Right now, there are far too many ideas for me to keep up with and a lot of them are far too outlandish to become reality (in this edition).

So, the requirements for this Article would involve...

Title
Author
Introduction
list of new features(not too detailed, PD would not mention everything)
Release date information, details of online, details of a new section (career mode), etc. *Optional
Some decent grammar and a realistic length would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to see a good turn out for this. Everyone have fun and share what you think is the future for GT!

If there is a good turnout, a poll can be put together for voting.

I think this will be a lot of fun. I'll see what I can come up with this weekend. :)

How about something like this:

It's official Gran Turismo fans, The latest iteration Gran Turismo 5 is slated to be released late October 2007 in Japan with a U.S. release date set for late November the same year. The European release is slated for January 2008!

This will be the Gran Turismo game to end all Gran Turismo games with well over 1,200 vehicles to choose from, from well over 100 manufacturers. Addtionally players will be able to custom paint their racing rig and will be able to select tuner parts from over 80 actual companies.

GT5 will boost all of the courses from the previous Gran Turismo titles to iclude well over 100 real-world courses (incluing Spa-Francorchamps and Watkins Glen), over 20 city-inspired courses (including London, Berlin, Osaka, Miami, the new Seattle Space Needle course and Moscow) . . .) and over 30 richly detailed fantasy courses.

But the two things GT fans have been craving--literally dying for-- over the years, is now finally here: Damage and improved A.I. Let me the first to tell you, it's relentless and brutal. The A.I. drivers will block, protect their position, swap-paint and intimidate. If you slam into them, expect them to retaliate, whether or not you did it intentionally or not. With racing fields that number from 20 to 30 cars on the track you can expect the action to be as intense, as gut-wrenching as the real thing. Even better, the A.I. drivers will try to out-brake you in the corners, they won't give up after you've overtaken them and they will battle and give other A.I. drivers shunts and slams if the situation calls for it.

For all the attention the went into improving the competitive A.I. the damage model is the real treat of GT5. From shattering glass, to exploding engines, to terrifying in-car fires; it's goes way beyond dented fenders and smashed in door panels. Even if you don't incur any damage in the race, by race's end your ride will have a dirty, pitted look and you best believe that you'll have to swap out parts from spark-plugs, to frayed brake lines, maybe even the engine itself. Which shouldn't be too much of a problem because you'll be able to shop and store all racing necessities in your garage.

Make no mistake Gran Turismo 5 is the best racing on the market today and in the foreseeable future. With on-line play for up to 16 players, real-world racing leagues (from DTM, Aussie V8 Super Cars, American LeMans, JGTC and Formula 1 . . .) this game will be extremely hard to beat. After getting their hands on this game with it's photo-realistic vehicles, active pit-crews, and intense driving, GT fans won't even ponder the possibility of a Gran Turismo 6.

More in-game details to follow.
And sorry for the typos.
