Are you entering the livery editor competition? Then your best photo can be used here in the photo mode competition as well! By syntex123

This Month's Theme:

Utility Heroes

It would seem the PMC revival didn't gather the interest I thought it would, so to make entering easier, I've decided to "merge" the LEC(Livery Editor Competition) and PMC into one. When you enter one, you can automatically and effortlessly join the other. Click here to go to the
LEC.

This month's theme is Utility Heroes:

"SUVs. Vans. Minivans. Tesla's...? Unpopular racers, sure, but often a popular contractor choice. In this round a local contractor has hired you to redesign one of their company cars and make it ready for the track. They already gathered a few sponsors and has made a one-off vehicle to take to trackdays to have some fun."

THEME GUIDELINES

  • Google contractor vehicle, company car etc. Or just pay attention in traffic in real life. You're bound to spot a carpenters or electricians car or something.
  • Still unsure? Ask.
CARS:
  • Get boxy. Don't even think about using a sports car.
  • If in doubt, use the Hiace, Alphard, i3, either Tesla, or any of the other mundane daily cars that you'd think works as a contractor car.

DRIVER:
  • Not needed in this round.

LIVERY:
  • Original inspired by a real contractor car. Their logo should be present on the car.

LOCATIONS:
  • On the track/pit/paddock, showing it in action.

SCAPES:
  • Allowed.

COMPETITION RULES

Please, ensure you read and understand all requirements for this competition. Failure to follow the rules may result in disqualification. If you have questions, start a convo with me.

  • The only way you can take part is to be a member of the GTPlanet forums. If you haven't created your account yet click here.
  • It is recommended you host your image either here on GTPlanet (via the Media section), or on Flickr.
  • Not sure how to submit your image? Here's a guide for both methods mentioned above.
  • Preview images can not exceed 640 pixels in either direction.
  • A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
  • Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!
  • Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
Unsure how to? Copy and paste the following:
    [COLOR=red][B]FINAL ENTRY[/B][/COLOR]
  • Unless specified in the theme, no post-game editing except basic image processing(color and contrast), proportional resizing and rotating, is allowed.
  • One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
  • Do not ask other users to choose your entry.
  • Absolutely no entries which utilize edited/hacked file saves.
  • You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
  • Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
  • Winner gets to choose the following month’s theme.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
  • The Host may ask for the original image and it must be submitted if so.
  • It's recommended to save the original image (preferably in-game) until the competition ends.
  • Like in the LEC, you can add a story to your entry. But please do so in a separate post quoting your entry for less clutter to help make poll creation faster.

FINAL ENTRY

gt7-pmc-02-preview.jpg

I think I got the theme right. If it's not, let me know and I can remove. It's not on a track, but an xfinity van's track is the urban streets where they are always racing around.

And I have tried to get the "FINAL ENTRY" text to turn red. It always turns white after I save.

Well, it is showcased in action, so I’ll allow it!

Did you try copy pasting? It’s some shade of red in my quote, at least.

Yeah, it shows up red after I save, but as soon as I navigate away from the page or refresh, it turns white. I have tried copying and pasting exactly that BB code multiple times but it just doesn't work. I wonder if it has something to do with being in dark mode. Or the BB code editor is just not that great. That text is always wrapped in some other HTML span tags that override the red. Wish I could just write my own HTML/CSS in the code editor, but that's not very secure I suppose.

Probably not smart, no. And it sounds likely it has to do with dark mode, I’ve seen others with white Final Entry tag, and they’re probably having the same issue. It’s nothing I disqualify either. :D
