They Never explained why the CLK never ran in the JGTC.It only ran the last Few Races. If you have Picture of it.I can't access the Page right now.Post what you think about this car.

It never raced competitively, was filled with problems, so HKS didn't race it, or barely. actually never finished a race, at all

It probably shares some philosophies, but the two series have very different rules. DTM is actually highly restrictive as a formula, JGTC less so I think.

Oh, and DODGE the VIPER cars do not have to be Japanese to run in JGTC - there is a McLaren F1 running in it at the moment, and let's not forget the Nomad Diablo either.

It's difficult to tell from the photo, but it looks like there are huge bodywork modifications, which could be causing problems with aerodynamics, especially around the rear suspension. And that wing doesn't look like it's been anywhere near a wind tunnel.

I was wondering because it bears more reseblence to the CLK GTR that ran in Le-mans (apart from being smaller) than the one in DTM.

It certainly has resemblances to the CLK-GTR, but I would say that the front end is more standard-CLK, and the roofline is much higher on the HKS car than on a GTR. I see where you're getting your idea though with the tail treatment.

Anyone mind telling me what this is?

Do you know a site that shows the car regulations for the DTM and the JGTC?
Here is the DTM Home page. The menu across the top contains links to Sporting Regulations and Technical Regulations.

Here is the page on the JGTC site that discusses the nature and a bit of history on the restrictions as well as links to Sporting Regulations and Technical Regulations.

So that's what the Kat's up to! I was a bit of a fan of his when he was running near the front in the Tyrrell.
