After 3 years of trial and error, I did it. Strong, rigid, confortable with multiple seat, wheel and pedals floor position, it's perfect for small space or for the ones who want to hide their gamer addiction... ;)
Will be soon compatible with T500rs and Fanatec wheels.

What do you think about it ?

Patent is on the way, I'm planning to put it in the market as soon as it is perfect. studying on 2 others differents look-a-like furnitures different from the TV furniture...

Great idea and execution. My only suggestion would be for the amount that it would probably have to sell for, I would expect a more comfortable seat. Some type of padding and support would really improve the whole thing.

Great innovative setup. Current foldable rigs are very expensive. I hope yours make to the market at a sweet-spot price. Good job.

Thanks to you all for your great feedback !

About the padding, problem solved yesterday bur not showing on these pics... :)

This looks great. Sell it and ill buy one. I don't have room for a constant rig in my room but one that fold away like that? Yes please.

Indeed a brilliant idea! - I'll buy one too, if you sells - inside a reasonable price range, that is .

And, I'm I the only one who sees the resemble of the ConverTTable :D?

I really hope the prices won't be around CTTE's (€3000 - yes, €3000), too :scared:.

Very nice work. However, it looks like there is quite a bit of height to play with, looking at where the eyes are in relation to the screen. It might be worth considering that people may want a shelf for everyday a/v sources.

Thats a very nice unit compact, functional looks great I'd be in the market for one of those or even the plans to build my own.👍

This cockpit could look like the converttable by the way it's folding. But the big difference is that mine is a lot more compact because I use a smaller seat and the way it folds is different (took me a lot of time to find the good dimensions). Not as easy as you imagine...
And mine's really looks like a real furniture, not a "designed" table (that in my opinion doesnt fit in a normal living room. And not as technically fancy, so a lot more simple and a lot cheaper (trying to squeeze under the €500 barrier, handmade, one by one).
Funniest thing is I discovered the Converttable thru this forum, long after i've finished the second prototype...

This is a good idea. Right now, I focused on the smallest size. Bigger furniture will increase the price. And when I made the list of priorities, I included the fact that I wanted the eyes at the same level than the center of the screen.

More pics for fun:

That is really awesome. A little finishing and that will be a really REALLY awesome setup.

Really going to give this good consideration to buy. Hopefully I'll have a full set up for GT6. How much in GBP do you think this is going to be?

Damn ingenious!!!! 👍 👍

Out of the box thinking at its best. :sly:

Very nice job, like that steering wheel too! ::dopey:

Don't forget that also some "back into the box" thinking was part of this. :dopey:

Really great top class design indeed. 👍

For the ones who are living in France, I'm selling this one TV version for 150€ (it's a great deal !).
Still fully fonctionnal, there is even foam on the seat...

A prendre sur Dijon ou Paris (Fontenay aux Roses),

After seeing this cockpit i had to finally join GTplanet just to post in this thread lol
It's hands down the best solution i've seen for us racers with GF/Wives to keep happy
If you were to sell to the UK how much do you think you'd charge?
Thanks
