The killer gene

We faught against an army and defeated it. We are fighting against insurgents and are taking casualties in Iraq and will take more..we are at war and we have lost 1000 + of our soldiers. In a year or so.
In the mean time here at home we are in the proccess of losing 25,0000 to 27,000 of our fellow citezens to violent crime. Better than the 39,000 we lost in 1993 but still ...2....5.....0.....0.......0 twenty five thousand...( figures are from ABC news night line report ).
So naturally I wonder what makes us so damm crazy ? A killer gene ? Something in the water ? What makes a US citezen so much more likely to kill , than say a Canadian ? A Canadian moves to the US , will he wake up a year later and say to himself ; " that dude took my parking spot , gonna have to grab my .40 and fire his ass up "...or will he be himself used for target practice?
Wonder why ?

Just look at fools like 87chevy and ViperFreak and you'll begin to get an idea of what the hell is wrong with Americans. You're all so proud to be American you forgot the rest of the world exists. Your patriotic attitudes extend to your everyday lives, where your firm and unquestionable belief in protecting what's yours by any means necessary has led you to blow each other's heads off at the drop of a hat.

I thought it was beignored because of the subject matter Lotus , but thank you . Its rough reading about ( or hearing ) on the news about war casualties and on the back of it you get a report saying " oh by the way we are on track for 27,000 deaths due to violent crime " .
Maybe we should just invite the terrorist over for a visit instead of hunting them, they just might not ever make it home if they visit the "right " neighborhood.
