First trailer dropped for this.. I have high hopes and absolutely loved the original trilogy ;)

Keanu should have had a hair cut and shaved for the part as he still looks like John Wick but other than that... Bring it on :cool:đź‘Ť

So, the architect brought him back, because they enjoyed battling this "the One"?

I'm not keen on Morpheus being recast, if Fishburn didn't want to do the role, they should've just created a new character. Or, if they were going to keep "Morpheus", at the very least make him look different from Fishburn's portrayal so they can give some explanation of "well in the Matrix you can look however you want".

Also, I had no idea the Wachowski Brothers were now the Wachowski Sisters. Seeing Lana Wachowski threw me for a loop.

For what it's worth, this has come up on at least a couple different occasions over in the Opinions & Current Events subforum during discussions about what it means to be "red-pilled" (which frequently, if not consistently, includes the narrative that there are only two genders/sexes and they can't be changed) and the fact that the term was popularized by the Wachowskis' Matrix franchise.

It's also been observed that these "red-pilled" individuals are frequently, if not consistently, filled with anti-"woke" vitriol and yet being "red-pilled" alludes to one having undergone a supposed awakening, also co-opted from the franchise.

So, basically, to be "red-pilled" is to be spectacularly dimwitted.

For once, the trailer doesnt give away the whole plot. Which is a good start! Visually, you know its gonna look amazing (that's a given), let's hope it has substance as well as style.

Finally watched it. Took me a few weeks. Just kept asking “Why?”. Thought I’d be interested to see the story continue. Oh well.
