Hello, im new to GTPlanet so i wanna start posting.

This is my first thread. In your own opinion, which Formula 1 Grand Prix has the most beauty in it?

My favorite Grand Prix has the most beauty. I believe Singapore is the most gorgeous Circuit in F1 history! The lights on the skyscrapers, the catch fencing, the walls, the ferris wheel. It's the goddess of F1 circuits.

Welcome to gtplanet . Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder so there's no definitive answer to your question. A few F1 sites are beautiful for very different reasons, l would name Monaco and Spa before all others, but Singapore is very distinctive too.

Although it may not make for the most beautiful racing, the recent Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi deserves a shout out, even the blue track boundaries look great but when it gets dark and the hotel lights up you can only imagine how it feels to drive past that in an F1 car.

Really hard choice between Albert Park and Giles Villeneuve. Probably the latter if I had to choose. Old Hockenheim was also really pretty in its own way, especially in the wet.

Spa Francorchamps for me, it is not only beautiful but iconic. The track is holy ground!
This^^! Followed by Monza, I wish I lived in one of those houses that are on the other side of the fence!

Spa Francorchamps. I much prefer tracks with greenery and trees around them. Though Monaco and Abu Dhabi are also quite pretty.

I'll go with a 50/50 between Spa and the Nürburgring. I quite like some nature around a track. :P

Doesn't get much better than that.

Paddock Hill Bend at Brands Hatch is one of the best corners in the world.

Until you actually walk down it, you don't realise just how crazy it is. At some points on the racing line, it is at least 45 degrees to the horizontal. It is nuts. Brands just looks good anyway.

EDIT: Misread as any track :dopey: - I'd agree with Spa.

There's something just captivating about dark roads, and lights flashing by. At night your senses are heightened naturally with the decreased vision. At 300kph, it becomes a mere blur of adrenaline and drama. Circuit De La Sarthe, home of the Le Mans 24 Hours. I rest my case.

In my opinion you cant beat the old tracks.

I'd say spa, purely because of Eau Rouge. Although there are plenty more "beautiful" circuits that aren't on the F1 calendar.

It's hard to say. Tracks like Yas Marina and Singapore are good because the darkness, lights and surrounding buildings makes them look like the tracks you get in futuristic video games. But then I also love the older circuits like Hockenheimring, Osterreichring, Monza, Spa, and the Nuerburgring, because with the surrounding scenery it makes you feel like you're actually going somewhere.

I kinda like the new Silverstone, if only the start was put back before Maggots and Becketts. But i think Estoril or Magny Cours are my favorites right now.

Silverstone...

Joking. Obviously.

From a photographic point of view I'd probably say Spa and Monza would be my immediate picks of the modern circuits - but I've heard a lot of the F1 photographers love Singapore just for being something a bit different. Yas Marina is also a neat looking circuit, sunsets and awesome architecture? Definitely somewhere I want to visit.

Out of the older circuits it's got to be the Nürburgring (Nordschleife). Best circuit I've ever visited without a shadow of a doubt.

Just came to the realisation why (in my opinion and also in many others); modern F1 circuits look so dull and lifeless compared to the classic ones... it's the trees!

Even tough the layout of for example the new "circuit of the americas" is fine, it just looks like 1 artificial open space because of the lack of trees surrounding the track itself.

Think of the greats like Spa, Monza or Suzuka and the track is surrounded by nature and doesn't look like 1 giant parking lot. Might sound stupid but apart from the big runoff areas that is the main difference...

Well, just green in general. Places like Bahrain and India are just surrounded by a beige/brown expanse of nothingness. Silverstone doesn't have many trees right next to it, but it is surrounded by green fields, which make it look better.

I think you guys definitely have a point. So many of these tracks nowadays have so much run-off room and paved areas, it just takes away from the beauty of its surroundings. Just look at what they did to Fuji. On a side note, I really wish they would include the Fuji 90's and 80's back into GT6.

I'm not on about the run-off, I'm about the surrounding land. Fuji still looks awesome (and I would MUCH rather F1 were there than crappy Suzuka) because it is surrounded by green land and also has Mount Fuji in the background.

See, it is surrounded by green.

Even COTA has brown around it.

Circuits like Interlagos in cities are good also as the city gives it something different to look at.

Im gonna say India as they put alot of design to that F1 track, even the buildings look like art and even the runoffs were designed beautifully, especially round that long right turn 9 i think.
