I have compared with all the version of GT2
Include Japanese, Eur, and USA.
I found the most difficult version of GT2 is "Japanese".

[Eur,USA]
In the Rally race is very easy to control.
Especially in license test, all the Rally Race I can get the gold.

[Japanese]
It's so hard to control the car and is very easy to slip, even you
just make a little.........movement..!!!!!

Where'd you get a Japanese copy?
And is your machine MODded, or are you using an emulator or other PSXs?

mine is also Japanese version. and i live in Beijing.
i 've never played any other version except Japanese ver, so i don't know is there any difference between these three.

Uh, you know mods don't look too kindly on links to downloading bad stuff (or illegal stuff anyway).

But yeah, the Japanese version does have the hardest rally mode. But that makes it the most fun. Mind you I managed to pick up the Japanese GT2 in a gameshop for £5 and in mint condition too.

I've got the JDM version too. During a rally on the GT mode disc, if I lost a race, my save would get deleted. Is this a bug or did PD placed it in on purpose?:odd:

in the Japanese game some prize cars are worth more.

a 75,000 US cr cobra is worth 100,000,000cr in the Japanese game. (100,000,000 Japanese cr = 1,000,000 US cr)

For some reason, the Rally racing in the NTSC versions are easier. It's quite easy to obtain gold tophies in the rally car license tests; in PAL, it's not as simple, I've heard.

Also, the Japanese versions of the game use a "Yen-based" version of the "GT credit", whereas in the NTSC versions, a credit's closer to a "dollar".

Thus, 100 Japanese-version Credits = 1 NTSC/PAL Credit.

I have the Japanese version of GT2 i got it off ebay a few months ago and it is cool like the GTO LM Edition of the NSX's you can get in Honda but yeah rally is harder.

That's what I was thinking, the Honda GTO LM NSX is a real badass of a car. Better than that Mitsubishi GTO LM anway, lol.
