What is the most disturbing/scary movie scene for you. I usually find "scary" scenes a hose; generally I dont get freaked out by gorey/disturbing movies, but there was the one scene from The Green Mile that had my stomach churning.

You know, that scene where that rat guard doesnt put water on the sponge before the one inmate is executed in the electric chair. And then instead of a "humane" execution, his head catches alight from the blue electric flame.

Oh man. Just thinking about that makes me want to puke. :ill:

If you've ever seen 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico' then you know about the whole eyeless scene. That creeped me out. I wouldn't call it scary, but it definitely creeped me out. Now that I think about it, anytime they mess with peoples eyes in movies..it creeps me out. Another example is in 'Minority Report' when he gets an "eye transplant". :ill:

first scene to scary movie 2

another freaky one was...well, i didn't see themovie but read the book...but all of Hannibal

Perhaps the scene that most disturbs me, and I still have a tough time watching it is the scene in "Fight Club" where Ed Norton Beats the Blond kid to an absolute bloody pulp. He just sits on the kids chest and beats him unconcious. Then slams his head on the concrete floor.

Not especially gross, just overtly disturbing and violent.

Nothing really disturbs me anymore, I've seen it all, done it all.

There was a scene in State Property where a guy got shot, and brain matter and blood was laying all over the ground beside him, and it looked real as hell. I guess most people would be disturbed by that, but I was like "Holy ****, those brains look real, ****ing cool".

The scene in American History X when Norton puts that guys mouth on the curb and wham! I still haven't seen that few seconds of the movie because I look away every time.

Thanks milefile, I had manged to completely block that from memory until now.

Good call. I had tried to forget about that one (:

Another one I find seriously disturbing are the actual creepy scenes in The Ring. That movie, first in a long time, seriously messed with my mind. The girl in the closet, the dude in the chair, and the girl that comes out of the TV. Crazy stuff. And the sound when you're watching the video .... gaaaah, makes my skin crawl to think of it.

I can almost taste the concrete now.

Well, The Quick and the Dead's opening sequence...because it's real.

It creeped me out (the first time I saw it) in 'The Blair Witch Project' when kids started sounding off in the distance then started beating on the tent the people were in. Particularly 'cause I was watching it at night with virtually no lights on and I guess I was into the non-existant plot too.

Yeah, the Ring definitely had some disturbing scenes in it. I went into the movie thinking it was going to be another stupid horror movie like Blair Witch Project, but it was disturbingly interesting. I love all the weird shots in the actual video tape. 👍

Oh man, that stuff was bizzaro. I just got a chill down my spine thinking of it. What was it again? Her thoughts? That's creepy. How about the video of her sitting in the chair at the hospital. She just sits there for hours. You can see the clock spinning in the background. Then isn't there a scene later where they're watching that video again and she jumps up and runs to the camera? Maybe that was just a nightmare I had ...

Here, have some memories.

Thanks ;) I needed a reminder on that one... Pretty disturbing...

You ppl speaking of The Ring.. I've never seen the US version, only the Japanese, and it scared the living **** outta me.. That is one scary movie methinks.. Am really looking forward to Dark Water too.. Sound fairly interesting :mischievous:

I've looked, very cautiously, for images of the 'scary scenes' in The Ring. I've not found anything and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Full Metal Jacket - Where Private Pile kills himself, it just looks real, especially with the brain matter all over the wall

The grossest scene ever is in van wilder when they make the special donuts for that one guy i forget his name but then everyone starts eating all the donuts and dripping the goo into their mouth and one guy is like oh man i think ive had this before that was soo disgusting i will never watch that movie again.

Near the end of the movie Casino where Joe Peschi (sp?) and his characters brother, are getting the life beat out of them with aluminum baseball bats.

Even the sound is horrible. *shivers*

And yeah, that "curb slide" in American History X is awful as well.

The knife fight between the German and the Jewish US solider in Saving Private Ryan - dunno why, I guess I just found the 'intimacy' of the way his death was portrayed, in the midst of such slaughter (especially after that opening sequence), really haunted me for some reason.

Damn, how could I forget that one? 👍
Back in high school we saw that movie once. I was sitting next to this girl I had a crush on. I probably shouldn't have laughed my as* off when that scene came on, she didn't find it all that humorous. :banghead:

Yeah, I hated that Minority Report eye transplant scene...:ill:

The Japanese version is much better in my opinion. I just thought it was overall more disturbing than the american release. Especially the little girl, and the video in the Japanese version.
I would say one of my favorite scenes is from "Jakobs Ladder". Actually there is 2 scenes.
The first is in the beginning, In vietnam. Jakob Singer and his batallion fall into a drug induced rage, brought on by goverment test's that they had been guiniepigs. Durring this extreme portrayal of base anger, they tear eachother apart with no descrimination, brother against brother.
The second is when Jakob is getting off the subway and he looks down at a homeless guy sleeping, and he sees a penis like tail curl up under his coat.
;)

Man - can't believe I forgot this....I was watching this DVD tonight.

Great Australian movie with Heath Ledger before he went over to the US, called 'Two Hands'

His brother, unbeknowst to all the other characters, was killed by this small time crime boss some years earlier, and acts like a 'ghost' narrator/protector of his little brother in the first half of the film.

Ledger's character stuffs up a job for the crime boss, and thanks to a little intervention from his ghost brother, escapes an attempt by the boss and his goons to kill Ledger's character.

Ledger's character catches the train to get back to where he's hiding, and falls asleep. While he's asleep, his brother appears in the seat behind him, and touches Ledger's cheek. Ledger awakes, the ghost disappears, and Ledger completely freaks - and you're left in doubt as to whether the apparation was real, or something Ledger was dreaming - a moment of affection turned into something really freaky.

The Green Mile. Awesome movie. I could watch it again and again and again and again.

Pulp Fiction, when Mia overdosed on the pure heroine. That entire scene was pretty messed up.

Also that rape scene, but it was cool when Butch came back with a friggin sword and sliced the guy up and let marcelius blast the guys d*ck off with a shotgun. "This is between you, me, and Mister rapist here, who's gonna live the rest of his short life in agonizing pain..."

Also when Vince shoots the guy in the face by accident and blood goes all over the car. But that was kinda funny though...

And in fight club, when norton shot himself in the face, coupled with the collapse of all those buildings, that was friggin wierd. And that scene where he pulls the skimask off Bob's face and his brains fall onto the floor, wierd. Impossible considering he was shot in the back of his head, but wierd

Now that I mention it, Fight Club and Pulp Fiction in their entierity are very messed up.

Also in Pink Floyd The Wall when pinky's getting dragged down the hall and that weird stuff is growing on him, then pulls it all off in the car and hes wearin that uniform (comfortably numb, I think.)

And also.... I just like messed up movies I guess I could go on and on. some of these might be pretty tame to you guys, but they're wild to me

EDIT: Forgot the scene from deliverance. no more description needed, anybody who watched it knows what im talking about

Pretty much all of 'Reservoir Dogs' was disturbing. Especially when the guy gets his ear cut off..then gets lit on fire.
