The network is offline....who else is annoyed? ANYone?

Hello,

is anyone else having the issue when you try to enter the online lobby that it tells you the network is offline??

I am having this occur increasingly and to be honest is is really starting to piss me off. I'm at the point that I expect it to sayy this each time i try to play online and expect that Im going to have to restart the game.

my internet is fine, my router is fine, my nat is fine, my wifi is fine (100% strength)....it is even connected to the ps network when its telling me the gt5 network is offline.

to fix it i have to quit the game and start it up again and then it works perfectly.

I dont understand what this issue is and if it is more widespread than I thought. I'll feel much beter if it is. I am 99% sure it has nothing to do with anything in my end. no other games I have had issues like this.

anyone know if its been stated there is an issue?

I have not experienced any problems other than the first day and then when they were working on the servers. Usually works great.

Ive had mine a little over a month and it did not do this when I first had it.

That bites hard dude. Have you tried clearing your system cache over in the options?

I don't know your issue, but I see at least one problem. Wifi is still wifi, even if it is full strength, the-best-darn-wifi-in-the-world, it's still WIFI so it will still always be slower than the equivalent ethernet cable. If you can manage to get a direct connection, GET IT! It makes a huge difference.

Side tip: avoid rooms with only one driver, becuase they may not be open when you try to join them -- press triangle to refresh the list.

Also, check the rooms' connection! Don't try to join a room with a poor host. If you have an iffy connection (which you do... because it's WIFI!), then you're going to have extra trouble connecting to someone else with a likewise iffy connection.

anywals villian i cant even get in th elobby it says network offline then kicks me back to the home lobby.

i jus had to exit once agin to go in the lobby thats 4 or 5 times today.

I was never able to log in with GT5, I can use the browser,
GT5 Prologue was no problem, Playstation Network, all work
fine, except GT5

I just started receiving this message today. I can't stay in a room for more than 10 -15 minutes before being disconnected and when I try to reconnect I receive the "Network is offline" message.

thanks for the fix, was panic stricken when I kept getting the message, almost broke into prayer
