And one day the owner went mental and sacked a manager doing a perfectly good job, above the expectations of most of the neutral public and pundits alike and replaces him with....

ALAN PARDEW on a five and a half year contract.

Their relegations odds have changed from 6-1 to 7-2.

Yeah, that's football. He did a great job, so did Sam Allardyce at Blackburn Rovers and he got fired as well. The manager that should be fired is Roy Hodgson. To say that Liverpool were woeful at Anfield yesterday is an understatement. Mark Hughes nearly got fired. I bet that if they lost at Stoke he would be sacked as well.

all Football clubs do it ....even the most successful north east club of the past 10 years the mighty Boro sacked Gareth Southgate when he was doing a perfectly good job.

Newcastle have signed Lille's midfielder Cabaye. Good move, especially when both Barton and Nolan could be leaving the club (why won't Pardew and Ashley give him contract extension he wants?). Also, Magpies are interested in Swansea's full-back Neil Taylor, after teams like Barca or Liverpool expressed their interest in Jose Enrique.

Rather good season by Newcastle, mid-table for a newly-promoted team is pretty decent. Also, there were some really memorable days at St James' Park, which is the ground which had the biggest amount of goals scored in the Premier League (68) this season.
