Well, I won't list every team, but I'll do a couple, mainly the ones that I disagree with you on. :dopey:

Falcons - Division winners. Their division is too weak to think they'll lose to many games inside it.
Packers - Win division handily for the same reason the Falcons will. I think Favre will play smarter, and not get hurt this time around. ;)
Ravens - Finally make playoffs, as they have more offensive threats this time around. Derrick Mason will take a load off of Jamal Lewis' shoulders, as well as a healthy Todd Heap. Teams won't be able to crowd the line with nine guys every play anymore.
Colts - Same old. A great offense, but lack of defense and they get shut down in the playoffs once again.
Bills - Losman can't be worse than Bledsoe was. With McGahee taking all the carries now, the Bills finally have a breakout year. Their defense is always solid, so I look for them to make some noise this year.

That's all from me. :)

49ers- With the new #1 Draft Pick rookie, make a play at 0.500 football this year, but failing to make playoffs. Barlow, now with another player to take the heat off of him greatly improoves his rushing stats from last year.

Jets- Martin get a serious if not career ending injury at the midway point of the season... Jets seriously regret dealing away Lamont Jordan. Season flounders.

Miama- Williams returns and once again dominates the rushing stats until trouble off the field once again forces him to the sideline... 0.500 football at best.

Oakland- With the arrival of Moss and Lamont Jordan, they've renewed their offence and will once again be at the top of their devision. Defence is a question but their offence will shine them on. Fargas will play and extreamly important roll, as Lamont, having played mainly as a 3rd Down back will often need to catch his breath...

Eagles- The McNabb/Owens saga continues with OWENS taking the brunt of it, having the team look at dealing him away ASAP to prevent a relaps of the San Fran incident involving Owens. Owens gets "injured" again and refuses to play the last half, to quarter of the season.

Texans- Made the right moves in the offseason and now have a serious chance at making a play at their first playoff birth. Defence will proove to be a problem later on, as depth in DB slowly is plaged by naging injuries. Again 0.500 football at best.

Falcons- Flash in the pan Vick again troubled by minor injuries, leading to more problems down the line for the team, as their "leader" struggles to regain the form he was touted as having.... Long term prediction, Vick earns the same level of respect as another nameless QB from Pitsburg now has... and due to his extreamly over priced salery, never becomes part of a dominent squad again.

Giants- Eli, coming off of such a hard season, never regains his confindence, resulting in Hasselback becoming the starter with Jessie Palmer and Eli fighting for second place. Hasselback, having played all of his carreer with outstanding backs, helps to make Tiki one of the most dangerous backs in the league, "a la" Mrashall Faulk of old...

Cowboys- Bledsoe, although not the QB of the future, fit well with the system and the new found talents of Julious helps to open the field for Keyshawn and Glenn who both have respectable seasons. Should have a potential shot at a wildcard birth if all parties involvd remain healthy... a long shot with Glenn, as we all know... But they should make for a fun team to watch...

That's all I got for now... more as it develops... Later Ed

ANY1 got any playoff predictions?
well i thought of another prediction,
-Vick 2,800 yds passing and 25 TDs
1,150 yds rushing and 5 TDs

that's all, and more to come

oh yeah, i watched the preseason game of the 49ers and Raiders.
the Raiders looked GOOD. i mean, on offense and not defense. Lamont JOrdan as running back is great, Randy Moss looks like he's going to have a great year with K.Collins, and i dont know but is Jerry POrter still playing for the Raiders? well anyways i am still looking foward to seeing how Oakland will do, BUT they will NOT make the playoffs.

Yes, Jerry Porter is still in Oakland. They'll have a good offense, but it probably won't matter much since they won't be able to stop anything on defense. One more prediction, a little change from what I said before.

Vikings - Absolutely great off-season for their defense instantly makes them a contender, especially in the weak NFC North. Burleson will have a breakout year, and Culpepper will continue to impress. Division winners, and make some noise in the playoffs.

I still think the Packers will be good, but not good enough to win the division over Minnesota. Packers will get a wildcard.

do you think the Packers are one of the teams to beat still? because i heard Mike Sherman is in the hot seat this season.
also does anyone know that Ty Law went to the Jets, i dont know if that should help the Jets.
and FINALLY, please keep an eye on my sleeper pick the Cinncinnati Bengals.

I don't think they're one of the teams to beat anymore. They look like a good team on paper, but I guess we'll have to see how Favre can run the offense, and if the defense can play like they should be able to.
Ty Law is a great corner, I'm sure he'll help the Jets D a lot. They have a young defense, so he'll provide some good veteran leadership as well.
I still think the ultimate sleeper this year is the Vikings.

Oh, and how about those Ravens? They re-signed Peter Boulware to a 1 year deal. Their defense will be amazing again this season. I hope they do well.

i dont think the Vikings are considered sleepers though, and i agree about what you said about the Ravens. Did you see the segment on Sportscenter talking about J. Lewis, hopefully he is that serious about this season and will show it on the field. :)

It's amazing actually that the Patriots could lose so many key players, yet still be considered a favorite to win the Super Bowl again.

Oh, and am I the only one here that hates the Colts? Peyton Manning is good obviously, but I really am hoping he's the next Marino. Every year it's the same thing with their team in the pre-season: "Colts with re-vamped defense could finally get over the hump." Their defense sucks, they're the Phoenix Suns of the NFL. Or the other way around.

Edit:
Saleen Man
They're were never very good IMO. So they fluked off a superbowl, it's not gonna happen again.
That was my response after New England won their first Super Bowl. So I was a little off.

-------------

Is the GTP "Pick 'Em" NFL Pool still on every year? Those were always fun.

I hate the Colts and thoroughly enjoy the asskicking they get from the Patriots every year in January. Last year was brilliant when you consider the Patriots were underdogs AT HOME (HOW THE **** DOES THAT HAPPEN!?!) and Bill Belichick made Peyton Manning look like Eli for four quarters. Best football game ever.

I hope Peyton throws 60 TDs and 0 INTs this year. It will make the beatdown that much more fun.

anyone know what's happening with the Titans, i haven't heard of them so far this preseason.
They're 1-1 in so far. A lot of people are saying that they're in a rebuilding stage and that it'll be a tough year for them. I guess all they can hope for is McNair staying healthy.

I'm sure the Titans will hope so, but if history proves anything, it's that he'll likely end up missing time for something or other... Too bad to, he WAS good, but I think his injuries are catching up with him... that and a lack of cold hard talent around him... The way he's played in the past, he's gotten almost as much contact as a running back...

Most likely yes. They are in a pretty tough division as well, they'll need McNair to play great for 16 games, Chris Brown and Travis Henry to run the ball well, and they're young defense to at least hold teams under 30 a game. :nervous: Doesn't look good for them, no.

Ha, Chiefs vs 49ers in the Super Bowl! :dopey: Honestly though, I think the Chiefs have a much better team now than when they started 9-0 a couple years back.

oh yeah! i forgot to post my Division winners.
NFC South- hmm Falcons or Panthers
NFC West- Rams, duhhh
NFC East- Eagles
NFC North- Vikings, (which i still believe that they should not be called sleepers)

AFC South-Colts, (weakest division)
AFC West-Chiefs
AFC East-Jets
AFC North- BENGALS, my sleeper pick!!!!

Division winners, eh?

NFC West
- Seahawks
NFC South - Falcons
NFC East
- Eagles
NFC North - Vikings

NFC teams I'd like to see do well: Redskins, Bears & Cardinals.

AFC West - Chargers
AFC South - Colts
AFC East - Patriots
AFC North - Ravens

AFC teams I'd like to see do well: Bills, Jaguars & Dolphins(Go Ricky!).
