Is anybody here on GTPlanet into The Offspring? After playing a few numbers with my band, I now love their music. Favourite songs of mine include: Self Esteem, The Kids Aren't Alright, All I Want, The Meaning of Life, Gone Away, Half Truism, Trust in You, You're Gonna Go Far Kid, Kristy Are You Doing Okay?, Nothingtown (All-time favourite), Stuff is Messed Up and Fix You. What are yours?

I've loved The Offspring since I saw a TV advert for 'Ed, Edd n Eddy' on Cartoon Network back in 1998. Pretty Fly For A White Guy was used as the song, so I got the single, then the album and then I loved them ever since.

They have a new album coming out around July called 'Days Go By'. The single sounds great and I can't wait for it!

I started to listen to them back in 1991.The first Album I listened to was the self titled album "The Offspring".

There is a song on there that is hard to find because they took it off the original album in 2000 or 2001 i believe. It is called "Kill the President".If you can find the song be sure to get it as it's a good one.

I think my copy of the album has that on, so I presumably have an old one.

Big fan of the band though. Did have every album at one stage, but I only have a handful now. Think I accidentally left a load of them with an ex girlfriend. Slowly buying them all again!

Another fan of The Offspring here. Been a fan since I played Crazy Taxi in the PS2, but didn't know until it was Offspring until last year, when a friend said to listen to them. As soon as I heard "Ya, ya, ya, ya, ya", I was so happy to re-discover this awesome band

Time to revive an old thread for some Offspring news.

January 30th on Radio Contraband will be the release of their new single, "Coming For You".

If you follow them on Twitter or Facebook they've been posting updates on it for a week or so now. I'm so hyped for it and I've been listening to their albums lately and it's just reminded me how much I love this band!

Also they released an EP last summer called "Summer Nationals" where they covered two Bad Religion songs and a Pennywise song.

Is that the first time you've heard that song?
I'm sure I have heard it before, just never noticed how similar it was to Teen Spirit. It came out in '94, the same year Kurt killed himself, is there some connection I wonder?

I've been on a huge tear of the full Days Go By album through this last week. First time I've heafd it and I actually really like it; reminds me alot of Rise Against for some reason.

My "band" if you can call it that, just recorded a cover of Slim Pickens. I'll see if I can upload it here in a few days or so once the guitar player finishes adding all his fancy effects to it.

I actually have a mashup of The Offspring and Rise Against. Songs are "The Future Is Now" and "Savior" which I listed as "The Savior Is Now".

Enjoy.

Man I absotootly love the Offspring. Got to see them last Summer in NYC with Pennywise, The Vandals, and Bad Religon. One hell of a concert. When the Offspring came on they played the whole Smash album from beginning to end. They messed up the order a tad, but that is all in the minor details.

Their second set actually let me down... They did a bunch of stuff off Americana which is probably my least favorite album of theirs. I was looking forward to hearing LAPD or Kick him when he's Down. Still what a great show and they are still killing it.

I must say my favorite album of theirs was Ignition it has the rare sound quality that defines the Offspring along with the 'pre' mega hits they put out.

Yup. I bought Americana when it came out. I was in 7th grade at the time. Still have that CD to this day.

I'm younger than most of them and yet somehow I feel I'm just too old for the band.
