The "One Time at Band Camp" Thread

I thought it would be a fun idea to share all of our "one time at band camp" stories.

I'll start with this: This year at band camp, the trombone and trumpet sections would race up and down the hallway during sectionals using desk chairs that we obtained from random class rooms. Usually, these races would end up with one or more people smacking into the double door post in the middle of the hall, like you see people do on Route X at the pit lane wall
 
Don't people tend to experience something rather gay at band camp? Or am I thinking of another camp?

I believe you're thinking of summer camp
 
One time at band camp I missed the whole camp because I've never had any musical talent and was most likely out playing football and chasing girls like a normal young lad. ;)
 
Never went to band camp, never will. I'm just using band as a means to fill an extra elective and see my friends.
 
I go to Orchestral courses in the holidays, they'e not camps, but still. Though once we put the Concertmaster in a Contrabass case and left him in the men's toilets!
 
Oh, I've got loads of band camp stories, seeing as I had to endure it all 4 years of high school. Most of them are the "you had to have been there" variety, though, and probably wouldn't be very entertaining to most people.

This one time at band camp I showed up 45 mins late in a car with blasting music and almost hit some kids.

Lol the best time had to be band skip day. Four kids total showed up. Most of the rest went to kennywood for the day. ( kennywood in case you didn't know is an amusement park)

Ha! Funny storry, I actually had to miss going to Pennsylvania and Kennywood with my family for band camp lol
