Sorry Project CARS 2 fan boy,s ;) He has not tried Gran Turismo Sport yet
Raceroom is the way to go and GT Sport if you like real Racing. PC2 is Arcade.

Seems to be talking a strange language...does anyone know what he says?

Also what on earth are those black dots in Raceroom that cannot be at the ring surely?

Is Raceroom coming to consoles? Does he compare psysics at all?

Wtf is this, really? Are you trolling on purpose? You come to a Project CARS 2 sub-forum, to post videos that claim R3E and AC have a better version of Nordschleife than PC2 (fair enough, whatever), but then you end your post by calling the people who frequent this sub-forum "fanboys" for no reason at all, and then claim GT Sport is the way to go if you like real racing, and PC2 is "arcade". Are you really as dense as you seem? None of those videos had anything to do with GTS, so you bringing it up and claiming it's "real racing" and PC2 is "arcade", makes you look like a bitter and gigantic GT fanboy, who is desperate to throw shade over a game that competes directly with your chosen favourite.

For the record: PC2 may not be as realistic as AC (I can't speak for R3E), but it simulates way more conditions, way more circuits, way more cars, than AC, R3E, or GTS. Not to mention that the general consensus among the sim racing community as a whole is that GTS is by far the least realistic racing game to be currently labelled a "simulator". I own AC and PC2, and am currently building a gaming PC, so it won't be long before I'm playing R3E also, and guess what? I've tried GTS and it's no more realistic than GT6. It's barely more realistic than Driveclub, in my honest opinion, and I have no desire to ever buy it. I'll be enjoying all the good racing games and sims, and GTS is neither. It's basically a boring and simplified version of iRacing with Driveclub-like physics and packed full of fantasy cars. I'll pass thanks.

Our Nordschleife used a laser scan with up to 0.5 of a CM resolution... so this guy is plain wrong. Maybe his field of view is messed up, but reading some of his other comments on our handling,.. 'wrong' fits better. Thousands of people watched it getting rebuilt from the scans in WMD...

EDIT: Here, see... I assure you... http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sh...e-vs-Reality&p=1446675&viewfull=1#post1446675 it simply can not be inaccurate.

No no no Ian, barking up the wrong tree here.

When devs say they're laser-scanning the ring, they don't actually scan it. The group that owns the Nordschleife already did their own scan of the circuit years ago, and they basically sell it to devs for a fee.

The Nordschleife in iRacing, Assetto Corsa, R3E, and (presumably) pCars 2, is built from the exact same point cloud. Unless you really started scrutinizing trackside object positioning (which will be different for every sim), the differences between the tracks across multiple games would be impossible to detect.

One game can't have a Nordschleife that is more accurate than the other. All devs are building their rendition of the track using the same base data. So even if you were to say R3E's depiction of the Ring is inaccurate and that AC's is better, you'd objectively be wrong - they're actually the exact same.

Actually you could be spot on there. When we started the track from scratch 2 years back with the scans I recall us having the scans and their accuracy but can't recall if we scanned ourselves or if we bought the scans from the track... Anyway, to then give a big thumbs up to one game and a big thumbs down to another, using EXACTLY the same data, when only one simulates things like - seasons, weather, both general and localised, seemless 24-hour time of day, rain, altitude-based air pressure differences, wind, temperature variations over night and day and moving sun direction... as 'inaccurate by comparison' is frankly embarrassing for him.

PC2 is not a bad game. It's just not a simulator. I have driven Nordschleife myself. And Nordschleife does not feel right in to PC2. I think Nordschleife feels most right in Raceroom and GT Sport. Google Translate is my frend. (You come to a Project CARS 2 sub-forum, to post videos that claim R3E and AC have a better version of Nordschleife than PC2) Do you own PC 2 forums?

You sound like your trolling...

No1 ! if you are going to call a car game simulator. The car have act like in reality. Not in PC2.

No doubt I've seen this game before. Is the game "Going around in circles", more realistic in those other game forums or just the gtplanet forum?

Some people are irrational. No point arguing with the OP. I'm sure you'll find someone who thinks Mario Kart is the best simulator. In my experience, at least 30% of people are completely irrational. They can't be convinced by facts or logical arguments. Once you realize this, life makes a lot more sense.

You know this will be a good thread when Joe-dogs comes in to share his opinion of PC2!

I’ve driven the nordschleiffe a few times and I can confirm those black dots are UFO’s that fly around in the region... so it is the most realistic!;) But on a serious note. Can anyone confirm at all if this guy is a pro driver at all?

ya, a not known driver (for me ^^) with only 38 starts at all... You Sir are a forum troll ;) It is wrong in so many ways to say PC2 is not a simulation... maybe not the best one but it is actually a real good simulation...
For me it is not possible to compare a game with a wheel, no VR and no hydraulic rig with a real car... NO game feels like real driving a car... For me its just trolling and jumping on a hype / hate train.... and only for your information.. in a different video he mentioed that PC2 ist a nice game and not like you say "arcade"

Please do us all a favour and troll in a different Forum ;)

Thanks

Stupid question to ask. Do you not know who Jan Seyffarth is??

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_Seyffarth

http://jan-seyffarth.de/

I know who he is, a nobody who started a handful of races in amateur racing categories, and never achieved anything in them. If that's the best "real racing driver" you can find that agrees with your ridiculous opinion, then you're gonna have a bad time when someone comes in here with videos of accomplished racing drivers who have the opposite opinion. I'd laugh at you, but at this point it's just getting a bit sad. Get a life mate.

Sorry didn’t recognize this obviously racing heavyweight. Apparantly I am very naive when it comes to Motorsport.

I do now this very young guy from my small country, who obviously is not as well-known or a big star as this Jan Seyfarth fellow is in Germany. But this newbie enjoys some PCars once in a while. Don’t know if you know him, but he is a locally famous where I am from. Maybe there is a small chance you might have heard of him ;):

Real race cars are easy to drive yes, but real race cars is hard to drive fast.

Yeah that's why drivers were laughing in the cockpit.

https://blackflag.jalopnik.com/the-strange-orphan-story-of-the-most-successful-le-mans-1677120408

As Motorsport Magazine recounted, driver Derek Warwick's first words after getting out of the XJR-14 for an instillation lap were "this car is *******g amazing." To put this in perspective, Warwick was then also an F1 driver who had raced for Renault, Williams, and Lotus. The car could take so many corners flat out that Martin Brundle, another F1 driver who also piloted the XJR-14, said that he sometimes broke out laughing behind the wheel.

Yeah.... René Rast says hi.
Rene Rast is a nobody who's never won any championships. Nowhere near as good as Jan Seyffarth who got a massive 2 classified wins in 5 years of Porsche Supercup.

Tommy Milner is rubbish compared to this racing genius too. Not even got 2 Le Mans class wins in 9 entries.

Looking at his postings, it seems he wants GTP drivers to use fewer assists than real life too. No ABS in GT3. However, I'm sure he thinks Racing Genius Jan Seyffarth wouldn't use ABS in a GT3.

Jan Seyffarth is even for a German guy and motorsport fan like me unknown :) :) nevermind, @Joe-dogs tried only to jump on the hate train to troll here...
