Just thought I'd share with you a LFS series I'm partly organising. Real-Life Racing is the birthchild of me and 3 other guys (One being Sting from this very forum). Originally it was just a season with drivers from a BATracer series known as Real-Life BATracer but with the success of last season we decided to open it up to people we know well that are not specificly part of the series.

More information is found on the website in my signature. On there you will find all the latest standings and even some pretty sweet Press Conferences.

If you are intrested in signing up for the third season which will probably take place at the tail end of this year, please contact me for more information! :)

I was out last night… couldn’t make the race this morning unfortunately. :(

It's amazing! Decided to give LFS a shot since I've been looking to find a good multiplayer racing sim for the PC, and it actually runs and looks great on my (integrated graphics) laptop without having to crank the settings to minimum! (As opposed to RFactor, where I drive square boxes around a gray strip.)

I'm going to get acquainted with the game a bit and see if I can join in, then. :)

I do live race commentary for the RLR on Skype, by the way! Just search my full name, Scott Woodwiss, and add me if you want hear live coverage of the race as it happens.

Sadly it's quite likely I won't be commentating on rounds 3 & 4 at South City because my laptop will still be in repairs by then. But I will be back to cover the remainder of the races. :)

Plus, once I've sorted my laptop out and gotten together some cash, I'll upgrade my laptop, get S2 and join in as well. This does look a lot of fun when watching. :P

:idea:It would be nice if we can watch the races as well either live or on YouTube. Sort of the way the Sim Touring Car Cup does it. ;)

Ah yep, Ashley (MildAshers) will be making a highlights package as I type, should be done by the end of the week. :)

erm, what happened to me doing the highlights? I know my laptop has gone for repairs but I still would like to do some, please? :)

Yeah Ash is making the video I meant. We'll have to make do with no commentry for now..

Season 3 Sign Ups Now Available!

The sign ups for the third Real-Life Racing Series have now opened, dubbed the 'RLR 2008/2009 Winter Series', we are hoping to achieve a high number of entrants with a revised rules package.

First and most importantly, we'll be changing cars from the XFR which is used in the current season to the GTR Class (FXR, FZR and XRR). However, the three classes will be restricted so they will all be on similar performance levels.

Also we have now made all races last around an hour and 15 mins instead of the current spint-type races. This should allow for more of a strategy and longer stints of close racing! Elsewhere we now have the Independants Cup for drivers who feel like tackling the season by themselves.

A full set of rules can be found at the following Link, if you are interested in signing up, please either post a reply on the thread or PM me for more info, I'll then give you all you need to sign up and become part of a truly exciting series! ;)
