The wider angle on mine is much more interesting, IMO. Gives a better sense of depth and distance. I might be biased, however.

I agree... though the 2nd is good also, but I think the original looks best. I think to get such a wide angled shot would there not need to be some distortion anyway??

Just gimme my money man ;) haha

Seriously though...I agree some distortion would make sense, but as a photographer speaking; it's waaaay to much.
Especially architecture photography is considered to look better when straight. Sorry, I didn't make "the rules" :)

Still love the picture :)

Wawaweewa!

apparently people that want my opinion... I'd show you my inbox... but that is not necessary.

It's ok that some People Don't know who I am... I don't plan on explaining myself... But if you plan on asking my opinion and then bashing me... you might want to do it via PM instead of in front of the community... it takes some Humility out of it.

If you want to know a little about me... Click on My Name... Or search on Google for Wonderpill... Chances are you will find Gran Turismo related things back into the 90's...

At some point I got into photography, Namely ATV racing... didn't do much with it for money, just for friends... I started taking some HORRIBLE pictures back on GT4... which opened the flood gates for me when Forza 2 came out... Winning Photo competitions often, I bowed out, and decided to work on Photo Projects with other members of the ForzaMotorsport.net site.

In a contest Held By Microsoft and Hyundai, I won actual prizes, of which were all photography related... I have gone on to make tutorials on Photography tricks, and mostly known for teaching people how to find the perfect Composure for a photo.

If you decide to look for me on Forza, You Should Look For Apex Omega instead of Wonderpill... but only if you are curious

interesting, you any examples of your work we could see?

I'm not bashing. You came to the realistic photo thread, said it was mostly crap, and then told everyone to take better pictures basically.

And then when some arguably sameish as the rest of the thread pictures got posted afterwords, you praised them. This thread is dozens of pages long.

There are better ways of giving advice. Sometimes, being supportive and singling out things and saying why you don't feel its 'realistic' (besides reality being subjective) is more helpful then "This thread is crap, take better pictures with some vague advice on blurring."

Tooting your own horn on an internet forum and then talking about Forza in GT5 photo thread really doesn't to me, scream any kind of credibility. I have no doubt you're a good photographer, in videogames and even maybe in real life, but you need to work on some basic courtesy.

I could quote my own resume all over the internet too. But like I said, its pretty much a credibility destroyer when you lord your own accomplishments over everyone elses.

There might be shiners of badness in this thread. And good ones as well. The least you can do is acknowledge both, instead of vaguely stating theres a handfull of pictures that are realistic in a thread as long as this. You are not being very helpfull.

And with that, I leave you with this.

Amen, Shinzah. 👍

And much better pic than those subpar NASCAR shots wonderpill posted in attempt to seemingly reinforce his implied authority on photorealism...using the partial colour filter, no less! Hah! This dude is just full of himself.

There is line in the OP about keeping any criticisms positive.

There's also no hard definition of what is meant by 'realistic' in there. Obviously to the photography hounds out there, that means film grain and so on to make it look like a real photograph. However, to the casual gamer, maybe when they read 'post your most realitic pictures' and what comes to mind are shots that don't look like pictures at all, they look like you can reach out and touch the heads of bolts or grab the spokes of the rim, or get lost in the complexity of a tail light.

Alright... Dipping into what I've already taken. I'll take some pics just for this thread later on.

A few effects, I know a lot of people disagree but like I said - I'll take pics that are more thread specific later.
