Kiss My Ass

More dodgy photography from me but hey...deal with it!

It's about time i took my favourite curvy lady for a spin. My classic Blue Beetle:

(as you can see, that rear quarter view makes the Beetle look great)

...lost out this time to my lovely metallic brown one. After taking in a lap this is the picture i had in my mind and it turned out good.

But, Is it just me or is the gradient banding in GT6 worse than ever? It's properly kicking my ass, which was the inspiration for the title as well as the lovely ass on the Beetle.

The picture that i got out of the PS3 looked truly awful, almost put me off!

One more thing, lot's of people seem to complain about and think editing pictures is a bad thing....Get with the times!

I'm a great musician and a sweet, raunchy guitarist. I sound sweet playing my guitar when it's not plugged in, But when i hook up to my rig i can make angels swoon...So, think of editing like that, take something good to begin with and make it better!

Getting bored of the editors being slammed on here...Well, all you none editors, Learn how to do it and you'll see what you're missing out on.

Anyway...Thanks for looking (and laughing!)

👍

Burnt to Perfection Lee!!!

I agree with Lees' comments. If we cannot free our minds to ALL photographic possibilities, then one cannot call themselves an artist (Which we are, all of us).

Realism IS debatable, but we all know it when we see it. Even if it's the rear of a VW bug, First glance you may not enjoy it, but then...LOOK AT IT, study it, see how the shadows, and muted lighting just WORK!!! See the dulled suns rays dance on the chrome. See the trees stand there and keep the shot together with silent complicity.

That's just the beginning of what I saw in Lees' shot. I see into everyone's shots, and it helps me see the artists vision. No matter the skill level. Because of objective insight, It's impossible for me to dislike a piece of someones soul, that they shared with me.

Edited or not, Keep it Hot!

We come from all over the world just to pat each other on the back. I love this ****!!!:gtpflag:

Kiss My Ass #2

Well, I love how this one turned out. It's one of my favourite pictures. The Beetle is just so curvy. I'm getting this one printed and hung on my wall.

It has inspired to do a series of pictures like this based on classic and my favourite cars of all time all using similar editing. I can't wait.

This though, was horrible to begin with. I don't know what it is with GT6 but the quality i get from it is terrible. But after using as many techniques as i could think of, i got it looking good.

This was a hard one to do...but a very pleasing result.

Anyway...Thanks for looking (and laughing!)

@leeislee This is definitely one of those images that really stand out, and make you take a good look at it.

It takes some skill to create an image like this, and it would look great as a print on anyone's wall who is in to anything automotive.

High praise indeed.:bowdown::gtpflag:

@MoMo PeeZero Your comments are such an inspiration, not only to myself, but also the many other members here, who provide the vast and varied forms of artistry on these threads.

I too was unsure about going down the editing path, but you pushed me in the right direction, and I am very grateful for that.

I don't always get it right, but does take time to find your own path.

Editing increases the possibilities with every shot.

Get the basics right first and never give up.

...and just like that, the race was over. If you didn't get a chance to see the final episode of the 2013 GT Academy Championship, well, here is your chance. Just in case, SPOILER ALERT, watch the video. It was an almost certainty Christopher Hill, car 33, was going to get the win, he dominated the whole race. Outback, Nick McMillen in car 28, had a lousy start and dropped to 3rd. He eventually persevered, quickly reached 2nd and gaining steadily on Chris. Although, Nick was slightly faster than Chris, it would be another thing to pass him in the last lap. Only thing to do is to keep on the pressure, wait for a mistake and have the win come to him…and then it happened.
