After a lengthy rest from my previous tussle with Mr X i found that I once again had the itch for racing. My psychiatrist said that the win Against MrX was what I needede to regain my confidence and He thinks that I am now fine to race again 
I logged on to the net to see what races were coming up....
hmm..
10 lapped no restrictions at Trial Mountian. Nup...
3 lapper of the ring in Fiat 500s! Gah! what were they thinking!!!
5 lapper of..... oh hang on heres one
20 laps of Infineon raceway! (stock cars) now thats my style!
Oh, heres the entrants list. Ooo ahhh, Mr X is showing up... It'd be so much fun to beat him again.
I head down to the track to take my place in the line up (rolling start). I am in last place as its in registered order and i was last to register.

We roll up to the start finish tension building. I cant believe MrX got pole and he is in his NSX, I am fuming at this but if I am careful and smooth i might be ok...
Green.. and we're off!
the eclipe and 3000gt quickly change places and I am riding the butt of the eclipse for the first lap I i get too close... *bump* I get a 10 second penalty for hitting him but soon am riding his tail agin as he dodges and weaves hypnotically in front of me till I take him at the first right hander after the finish line. now to chase down the 3000gt.
the 3000gt isnt that far ahead, maybe 4-5 secs but I am having problems realing him in and by now MrX is getting a good lead.. 4 laps in and I am right on the 300gt's butt flashing my light as he is holding me up. I am hoping he will let me pass... and he does.. a whole lap later, the bastard!
8 laps down. chasing down the 3000gt took some work and my tires are showing the wear for it. My indicators show a dark yellow for the fronts and orange rears so I pit for a tire change. Lucky its a quicky and I haven lost a place but the 3000gt is back on my tail, but I lose him quick enuff.
I put in a few good laps and by lap 11 the NSX of MrX pits followed by the S4 quite some time behind (10 secs). by the time I reach the finish line tho MrX is out with a blistering pit time but the S4 is still in and by the looks of it the pit crew is having troubles with a wheel. I am now in 3rd place behind the RX8 by about 5-7 secs and a good 15 secs down from Mr X.
lap 13 and the RX8 pits, I havent gained too much ground on him but when He pits it puts me ahead of him and I notice him rolling out as i pass the end of the pit lane.
Lap 14... "theres something wrong with my steering!" I yell to my pit crew I am all over the place. My tires have worn evenly this time and tho they are yellow they havent been showing that colour for long... "just keep it going and see what happens" is the reply thru my headset... the RX8 is on my tail now as we start lap 15.
Half way thru lap15 in the left hand sweeper I notice the steering is better but there is smoke starting to pour out of the bonnet... I am 20 secs down from MrX and the RX8 is flashing his lights to pass but I an so pissed off that I selfishly hold him off...
"I am coming in... this car is wasted!" I say in a defeated vioce
"rodger that..." comes another voice thru my headset and I move aside for the RX8 who sceams obscenities at me while he passes and pit...
15 laps and this happens... GRRRR!! time to have a word with my mechanic i think.
I dont stick around for the awards... I know MrX won and I know I'll be hearing about it for some time...

arcade race of Infineon raceway. 20 laps. tires are all soft sports and wear set to fast. penalties are on with a 10 second penalty. no driver assists.
***end note: I quite at the end of 15 laps because I ran out of time and had to go to work... by lap 13 I was spending more time looking at the clock to see what time it was than the race at hand
