The Ryder Cup Of Cars Event @ Suzuka 650pp @ :10 & :40.​

I present to you the teams.​

The Ferrari F40 will represent Europe.​

The Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe 06 will represent the USA​

This event is a little something different that I am proposing here.

The event is simple. Pick one of the cars and just turn up. All the usual OLR rules apply. It is just for fun.

I have no tunes as yet myself, I will leave that to the experts. I have run both these cars on 650pp settings with all other settings standard. They are very equal and both require different styles of driving to get the maximum.


If anyone has anything they think will make this event better please suggest your ideas.

Hopefully will see plenty on track, & please support my first ever event proposal. (I think).👍

Nice Grim. I had similar thoughts, but I was going to use the Tuskan Speed 6 and the Corvette Z06. They are very closley matched.

Ive got a feeling the 02 Viper is a better match for the F40. I just did a 2.06.6 R1/R1 without draft with the 06 Viper, most laps I was around 6.9 to 7.1. I just took out the 02 Viper and it feels about 1 second a lap slower. The best i did in my first race was a 7.9.
I dont know how fast the F40 is cabable of going but I dont remember anybody getting it into the 06's during the Ferrari festival.

I tried the F40 earlier, i am far from the fastest driver i know so others will be a lot faster, the best i could manage was a 2:11:639, i think i can improve maybe with a setup change?

I'm prepping my srt10 now. The best I've done in free run is mid 8's, but I'm sure there's more.

This isn't really the best match if you ask me. I'd like to see a European FR car (Tuscan or Aston would be awesome) instead of the MR F40, although I understand getting the cars to run similar lap times is the main problem.

They seem pretty well matched to me - just had a good tussle with Russrobit, till I made my customary off-track excursion.

as for anyone with query's about the match of these cars I ran 2'10's with both on R1's and standard settings. Just tuned to 650pp. They are the best match I found.

That would of been my intention had there been a world event. It is a shame, as my idea was to include all regions and call the event World War 3. I was intending to pick well matched cars from different countries, but this idea is now on the back burner until there is a world event.


How is everyone finding this event? Is it Good, Bad, or Indifferent?

Tried with Russ and Duke. Unfortunately the F40 is (too much) quicker on straghts. If possible, atleast really hard to get the Viper past with draft on straights.

I just raced MJH, Both in F40's and he was pulling away on the straights with me in his draft. God knows how he has tuned it. I'm still experimenting.

Yeah, the F40 goes better with over 100% weight.

We also tried TVR Speed 6 vs Corvette Z06, there the TVR was faster.

It's quite hard to find equal cars. Ofcourse one way could be limiting the other car's PP points.

I wondered who had the rocket powered car at the start, i've not seen anything move that fast since the F1 season ended. lol.

Thanks to Fak for keep waiting for me. I always try to over drive the car at suzuka, but trying to change my bad habbits is proving harder than i thought.
