So what mountains is everybody hitting this year?
Anyone into the spinny flippy stuff? Got pictures/videos?
What sort of skis/board do you have?
What are your opinions on out of boundary skiing?
Discuss the winter sports here!
Haven't been to too many mountains in my short time here on this Earth. My family will usually go to Pico over Christmas for a day and a half or two. It's relatively small without much variety, but it's much cheaper and the lift lines are MUCH smaller than its sister mountain Killington which I've only been too a few times. Okemo is another Vermont mountain I've been to. All lift lines are no less than 15 minutes which is why I've only been there once and can't remember it well.
Never going to Jiminy Peak. The single most boring mountain I've ever been to. Nothing nice to look at and nothing challenging. Don't let the pictures of their windmill that they advertise powers their entire mountain lure you in. They do have lights and you can go out at night. But I wouldn't suggest this. There was an icy snow the only time I went out. It was sub zero cold. I couldn't wear my goggles, or else I couldn't see three feet in front of me. But I had to wear them or you can't keep your eyes open from the snow.
It was bad.
One of my favorite mountains is Cannon in New Hampshire. Lot's of freedom there. Plenty of challenging courses and the views are nice. It can get icy sometimes when it hasn't snowed for awhile though.
I'm also a fan of a Mount Snow. There's so much you can do. Five dollars to anyone that can hit every trail and terrain park there in one day.
