So what mountains is everybody hitting this year?
Anyone into the spinny flippy stuff? Got pictures/videos?
What sort of skis/board do you have?
What are your opinions on out of boundary skiing?

Discuss the winter sports here!

Haven't been to too many mountains in my short time here on this Earth. My family will usually go to Pico over Christmas for a day and a half or two. It's relatively small without much variety, but it's much cheaper and the lift lines are MUCH smaller than its sister mountain Killington which I've only been too a few times. Okemo is another Vermont mountain I've been to. All lift lines are no less than 15 minutes which is why I've only been there once and can't remember it well.
Never going to Jiminy Peak. The single most boring mountain I've ever been to. Nothing nice to look at and nothing challenging. Don't let the pictures of their windmill that they advertise powers their entire mountain lure you in. They do have lights and you can go out at night. But I wouldn't suggest this. There was an icy snow the only time I went out. It was sub zero cold. I couldn't wear my goggles, or else I couldn't see three feet in front of me. But I had to wear them or you can't keep your eyes open from the snow.
It was bad.

One of my favorite mountains is Cannon in New Hampshire. Lot's of freedom there. Plenty of challenging courses and the views are nice. It can get icy sometimes when it hasn't snowed for awhile though.
I'm also a fan of a Mount Snow. There's so much you can do. Five dollars to anyone that can hit every trail and terrain park there in one day.

While your up this way...
Jay peak. Way northern vt
Huge mountain ,major glades, back country. Lots and lots of powder. Been aboit ten years since ive been here. Got a weekend trip planned for february.

Mt snow .southern Vt
Good mountain with a lot of parks. Lots of good tree skiing, usually great conditions. My wife and i used to go to Mt snow every weekend for about 4 winters. Then she had to go and get pregnant :)

Burke mtn. NE vt.
Recently aquired by jay peak and alot of work has been done. It was a nice mountain years ago and can only imagine its Been improved greatly. I could see the trails from my dorm room in college bit only skied there once, jay was a half hour away and i was a pass holder.

Loon nh
Meh. Good mountain ,mega lines, lits of entitled "rich people" ranging conditions.

Waterville NH
Been years. Stopped going because i hated the grainy icy snow.

Bretton woods NH
Good skiing, tho not the most difficult. Lits of long sweeping runs. Almost never a long wait.

I used to be a very aggressive park skier. Was in competition for a spot in the xgames in the early 2000s until i tweaked my back real bad. Now i spend most of my days breaking fresh tracks in the trees.

I ski on 99cm Line mike nick pros. Yep! There is 8 or 9 of us that still rip it on ski boards.

As I live in England, I don't ski that much but when I went on a ski trip with my school, I went on:

Loon, New Hampshire
That was very good to be honest, a lot of great trails and plenty of facilities

Cannon, New Hampshire
Still very good but way more snow that wasn't compacted down and less beginner trails. Still quite a lot of facilities and some nice crisp (chip across the pond) sandwiches.

Going to Denver, Colorado in April 2013 in the Rockies, I hope it's as good if not better than last time.

Well, I haven't been able to ski as hard or as often as I want to. I suffered a serious injury in March, and could barely walk for seven months. Now I'm back, but not full force yet. I can't ski for more than a few hours at a time. I am currently riding a pair of Volkl skis and a Burton snowboard. I personally enjoy skiing much more than boarding (bring the hate). On skis I could do flips, front and back, and spins up to 540s. So I'm nothing amazing in the terrain park. Definitely much more powder and glade skiing for me, especially this year. Just actually finished an evening of skiing. 👍
