The Travel Thread

Well, I've decided to return to GTP with some fresh ideas and here is my first shot. I adore travelling whether it's within Scotland or if it's a cruise in the far east.
So, if you like a little break, discuss it here and add photos of your previous vacations.

These past two years alone, I've travelled to London twice, Cornwall, York, Newcastle, Manchester and Bristol within my own country and Paris, Verona, Barcelona and Vancouver abroad.

So, this is my attempt at the huge thread craze.

BTW, I've done a search on related threads but none of the older threads matched what I had in mind.

This past year I went on a drinking holiday to Chicago, a drinking holiday to Toronto and a romantic getaway with Kate (girlfriend). All of which were quite fun and each came with a heck of a story because of it.

As some members may know I have a thing for doing travel logs when it involves me driving somewhere, which can be found in the threads below.

In 2010 I'm planning a couple of trips, another Chicago drinking holiday, a hiking trip into the UP of Michigan and a road trip though Canada with Kate. However if I get a better job I'll be flying somewhere that I haven't been before even though I hate flying with a passion. Right now on my short list is Iceland, Belize or Peru. I'm not one to make definite travel plans until the last minute though.

I love Scotland. I've been to Inverness and Lochton. Inverness became one of my most favorite places, I love the city and it's fairly close to Loch Ness. I was only there for a couple days, but I plan on returing some day, plus it has a great hobby shop .

Overall though, I have to go with London as my favorite place. I've been there four times and I'm still not tired of it. There's always something to do and see and it never gets old. London also has Model Zone, probably the best hobby shop I've ever been to. Every time we've gone to London we made an expensive stop be there

I've also been to York, Ireland, Switzerland, France, Mexico, and Canada. I'm not sure how many states I've been to, but I assure you it's alot. The top of my list though has to be LA and Savannah, Georgia. There's something about LA I just love, other then all the cars, it just make me want to go back all the time. And now Savannah is starting to bug me the same way.

I love traveling though, the things you see and learn are amazing and it never gets old. My dream places to visit though are Tokyo, Hong Kong (because of Rue and Dac_Xint spots ), Finland and Russia. Russia being the top and main one of coarse. My list is much larger, but those are my top few, oh and Dubai and Abu Dhabi .

I'm born in Dubai. Been to Sri Lanka, Singapore, New Calidonia and I'm currently living in New Zealand. They're nice places to holiday at.

Going to Australia in a few days. Can't wait!

Croatia: Pula, Porec, Plitvice (The 3 P's)
Slovenia: Koper and a visit to Ljubljana.
Austria: Innsbruck
Germany: Frankfurt-am-Main and Berlin.
Belgium: Bruges and Brussels
Portugal: Faro, Alvor, Lisbon
Greece: Kos
Australia: Brisbane (x2) and Sydney. (Many Years ago)
Cuba: Guardalavaca with a trip to Havana.
