I can get a TVR T350C for just under £400 per month on finance with a £10k deposit, now thats tempting. But I don't really want a T350C, I want a Sagaris, I can't afford opne yet, I could stretch for the T350 on finance, just about manage the deposit, but I think I'm still going to wait till next year to put a deposit down on a Sagaris. But by then I might want toawit a bit longer for a Typhon, damn this is hard.

:dopey:

It's finding a finance deal that I could afford, they're still 10k more than the T350C. I'd be stretched enough at the moment paying for a T350C  and Charlotte wouldn't be too happy with the mortgage and such . I'm hoping by this time next year I'll be running business from an office and have a few people doing the sales for me, if I can get there by then I'd be able to buy a T350 or Sagaris relatively easily.

I used to play football, I've got a mate who plays for Leigh RMI, I screwed my ankle bad a few years back, never got back in form.

If I get my way I'll have a Sagaris next year and if I still have the 306 Charlotte can use that.

Good news:

Following speculation on forums in recent days, TVR has revealed that it does have a Cerbera 2+2 replacement on the drawing board.

But don't get too excited: you won't see it for at least 12 months.

Spokesman Jason Oxley said that the Blackpool company was considering such a car but couldn't say whether it would make production.

"It's still only on the drawing board and it's just too early to say", he said. It seems possible though that it will be powered by a new V8.

Oxley added that TVR was focusing on the Tuscan convertible, as seen by many at the recent London TVR event, which will see the company through to the New Year mates.

Thats not only good news, but superb news. Heres hoping they can deliver the goods, the Cerbera's been the strongest TVR ever, introducing a replacement now TVR's image is higher than it was when the Cerbera was launched all thoes years ago would no doubt boost over production rates for TVR.

I have also seen a concept design for a Speed 16, yes Speed 16. Hopfully it will be put into production.

The other great TVR from the 90's has to be the TVR Griffith. With that nice all alloy V8 from Rover in the TVR Griffith.

If you're talking about this one...

No, it will never be put into production. It was only a college design project done by some kid, nothing to do with TVR themselves.

I posted this comment on the Speed12.info forums a while ago.

Hmm, I'm not keen on that at all both technically and from a design point of view. Top marks for transplanting the Tuscan design theme onto a different car, and quite different it is, I just don't like it that much. Technically though it's wrong, it has an engine in the back, I don't think any TVR's should be mid or rear engined, they've already proven they can make supercars and keep the front engine rear drive layout and it's a TVR tradition to use that layout and so it should stay, making it twin engined is even worse. Other than that, I'd give guy a well done for his idea, it just doesn't float my boat.

It doesn't float my boat, at all.

I've wondered, what do you call a car with an engine in the middle and front? It can't be MR, as it has an engine in the front, and it cant be FR because there's one in the middle.

Just 4wd, if you wanted to be more specific then I guess you'd just say FF+MR. The twin engined Suzukis that raced the Pikes peak were always just called 4wd.

TVR&Ferrari_Fan
Its a 2 engined design not mid engined mate.
It's still mid-engined, it's just front engined as well, it's also 4wd. It has a V8 in the front, and a second V8 behind the driver. Destroys the principals of what a TVR is imo, no TVR's should have an engine anywhere but the front, and no TVR's should be anything but rear wheel drive.

Nah, they couldn't fund an F1 project, they don't make enough money. Besides that, I'm not interested in seeing a TVR F1 car, I'm interested in TVR's for what they are and why they are like that. If TVR changes like that, what makes them my fave car company anymore? If TVR's design and build principals change, my reasons for liking TVR so much don't.

As I said, fortunately, they arn't going to change and they arn't going to build any mid engined cars. I'm not saying TVR can't improve, but they should never lose track of what they are, front engined, rear wheel drive, proper British sportscars and priced better than anything not superlight when it comes to performance for your cash.

Couldn't agree more. 👍

Hiho!

Have seen some vids (don't know where I found them) and a video from TopGear. Would like to know where I can find good fanpages oin the web or where I can find more videos. The cars look amazing and I really like them.
Wish I could afford one. The Cerbera looks timeless and absolutely amazing so the new cars do.

So here's the thread digger :D

Hi there!

What kind of vids are they? I presume the Top Gear one is the TVR Sagaris?

No it was Tiff driving a Tuscan Speed 6. The other vids were bout the Brighton Burble (hope this is correct) and some other privat and legal vids. TVR cars have an awesome sound and they just are beautiful.

So I've never seen a TVR in RL. That's a shame! Just to touch one would be exciting :) This may sound strange but this is my opinion. It looks as they don't build too much technology so the driver is in the middle of the action.

I want a TVR

Yeah, cos the TVR half the price or less than a Porsche or Ferrari, but almost as fast.

Right and to be honest it's about the car and a TVR gives me more than a Ferrari or a Porsche. Yes I would prefer a TVR instead of having a Ferrari or a Porsche.

Should add some Links to the TopGear Video links thread :) There're need to be more TVR vids.
