INTRODUCTION
UKTrainSim is a forum about Train Simulator where you can talk about Train Simulator as well as upload and download files for TS. However, UKTrainSim can be described in one expression: urrgh.
THE COMMUNITY AND CRITICISM
On UKTrainSim, similar to the Engine Driver forums, you cannot criticize Train Sim or you will be banned. That is completely stupid and really, really childish. To help you understand how idiotic this actually is, here is a fictional story about a fictional website called GTPlanet...
One day a little boy called, oh, I don't know, @Castrol96 , walked into the fictional Gran Turismo 2 forum that doesn't exist. When he got in, he shouted at everyone in there, saying Gran Turismo 2 was to glitchy. When the people there heard him, they all shot him. The end.

If you wish to download one of the many things available on UKTS' file library, first you register to UKTS, and then you join a 'queue' to download the thing, which usually has around 12 people in it trying to download something. One by one, they make their way down the queue, before being able to download that thing they wanted. However, when the start their downloading, they have a 5kb/s download speed, although it sometimes peaks at 6.4kb/s. This means a 20mb file takes around ONE HOUR to download. 5 people can download at once at that speed. Why?
Oh wait, there's a savior! Premium! With this you can download things without a queue and without a download speed cap! However, it's stuck behind a paywall. It's like GTPlanet Premium just more unnecessary. Much more...
IN SUMMARY
It's not that I don't like UKTS, it's just that it wasn't done... the way it should have. Actually, it's similar to Train Simulator itself: a good idea, done badly. UKTrainSim can be good, just it sin't yet.
If I'm going to host stuff for Train Sim I'll do it here because at least here there are no download speed limiters (that I know of) and you can download things for free without having to register.
I play a lot of Train Simulator and UKTS isn't good enough. The end.
