Test it some more then, you need to drive into the wall VERY little.
You can see my stick only pointing to the right ever so slightly, the idea is that you turn right at all times so when you bump into backmarkers you will drive in the wall again else you will indeed crash eventually.
Can't describe it anymore precise then I did in my above post really, I have it working flawlessly and will let it run whenever its not doing Bspec races or im racing myself.

i've tried doing it even manually using my hand lol and i can't manage to get it so he still has speed.

will keep tryin...

what are your laptimes? maybe its because im doing gone like the wind.

(edit)

i tried the dreamcar championship, i can manage to get it to stick to the wall and it gets up to about 360 on the straights, dips to about 260 around the bends. manages to win barely but its averaging around 45-47sec laps. if i go any further to the left with the right stick it just veers off so its as LITTLE as possible turning to the right.

Ehm, seems to be fake to me.
I tried it, but the turbo settings are not such that the car will accelerate beyond 100km/h.

If it does work, please post a new movie where both the game-video and the controller are seen (and where you prove that the Madcatz TE is Controller 1).

I've tried it a couple of times with both the X mapped to accelerate and the O. But neither will work, nor with the Turbo1 setting, nor with the Turbo2 setting.
Auto-transmission was set btw.

So until I see a new video, I say: fake... (or I'm doing something totally wrong)....

EDIT:
The one-button setup as in the video still doesn't work for me.
However, I have found a 2-button setup that has worked for me:
X for accelerate
L2 for accelerate

Set X on turbo 1 (the fastest setting)
Set L2 on turbo 2 (the slower turbo setting)

Press both buttons by using the piece-of-paper method (as in the video).

Now the driver will continue to accelerate.

No idea why the one-button setup as in the video doesn't work for me, but at least this works....

Worked first time here (the keyboard and Sixaxis method)... But I used no active steering settings. I just used tape and some coins taped together and stuck on the enter key. 45-48 secs a lap on the Dream car championship in A Spec.

But you cant do this method without starting the race up again every 6 minutes. Also, I do the Indiana far under 4 minutes but that is with normal driving (X1).

The enter key on the keyboard takes care of that. Video is up for you to see now.

:lol:I totally almost asked how you shift doing this........derp, completely forgot that there are some people out there that play with an automatic transmission .

Great video, now I just need a damn arcade stick.

Hi there,

1)What are you using for the Turbo function?

Anyway, I'll try to make a new video tonight if I have the time.
I can honestly tell you that it isn't fake though.

I am currently doing this with the FGT.

It comes higher than 5th, sometimes wins.

Good if you don't have X1 yet. (I'm level 27).

BTW I'm usin the on screen keyboard to type, it's so tedious!

this is starting to drive me up the wall, lol.

i finally got it down pat to sit there and not crash and to stay on the wall but still win.

it can sit there all day while im awake and make me money and i dont have to touch it.

but the last 2 nights i've tried to leave it going over night while asleep and i wake up to see it going into a wall with like 8hrs or 7hrs on the clock lol.

so i let it go, and am asleep for like an hour and then it stuffs up!

GRRR

Check my thread as well if you still don't understand ................

I have had it running for 4 nights now, each time for about 9 hours and one time over 14 hours. Check the thread I linked, it's super simple to achieve and very easy to get 20 million and some nice exp.

Controller / Keyboard / Rubberband / somethign to make the left stick point in the right direction. Everyone has that ? :P

What car did you use in this video?

Btw. It should work with the DS3 too. Just map acceleration to the L/R triggers and use some folded paper to hold them down. You have to restart the race manually though.

It's a Red Bull X1.

i dont know why you would create a seperate thread. also i have no idea why you would use a pocket knife when you can just rubberband the left stick as well.

Dont see how that can be good for the controller.

i use 2 of my missus's hair ties lol.

Also like i said, i can have it running all day flawlessly, like 15-16hrs a day but for whatever reason when i go to bed it gets about 2hrs in and stuffs up lol.

have a feeling my cats are knocking the controller :S

I LOL-ed:dopey:

Anyway, I made a new video... hopefully in this vid it's clearer that I'm not faking this (why would I anyway??)

settings are same as before

OH!! I shot the vid in landscape mode now hahahahah

My X1 crashes almost every race. Did I do something wrong with the settings?
I've only changed the downforce to 50/50, the rest is default.
The other settings are skid on and steering assist mild.

In addition to the rubber band for the throttle, you need a second one to slightly turn into the outside wall. You know it is correctly placed when you will achieve about 400 KPH in the straights.

Yeah I think I've got it now. Max speed on the straight is about 390 now. Anyways, enough to win and not crashing. Thanks for the guide and response 👍

This was how did it:
I used a DC3; I took some tape to get the right analog stick point upwards. And I also used tape to get the left analog stick to point right with a minimal margin, the G-force measure showed 0,5 G at the straights.

I found my old IBM keyboard from 2002 or something, plugged it in, took a tiny brick at the enter button and wrapped the keyboard around with tape.

I forgot to turn off vibration on the DS3, which can be pretty anoying while sleeping, so I just wrapped it around with clothes :D

The laps are around 42-43 seconds and total time is 3:40 (indy like the wind)

So far this method is bullet proof, have done 6 races now, only thing that may fail is the oil after some hours. Now I'm going to bed and hopefully wake up with 10m cr tomorrow :)

only used 1 band.. was enough for low 42 sec - high 41 sec lap times

the tks is useless...
would use the other aids...

Not bullet proof, but over 99% effective. Out of all the laps done, threre have been three instances where the car was just spinning its wheels head-on into a wall. All three times were in the same location, ahead of turn 3.

Its when the X1 hits a car just as its slowing down for turn 3. So the car it hits is also turning left, which is the direction where the X1 bumps towards after hitting it from behind. This makes the X1 slow down enough to ride the back of the car it hits and gets drawn towards the middle of the track making it hit the wall at such a great angle that it ends up going nose first into the wall or hit another car and get it nose first into the wall.

In total I've probably lost 4.5 hours to this situation.

Glad it eases peoples life by the looks of it. I'm nearly lvl 39 now.
This method only failed me once in 100's of hours worth of grinding and that was due to me setting the top speed to high. So steering angle wasn't sharp enough. 390-400 and leave it at that :)
