Ok my friend owns a 77 280Z, we drove our cars out to a deserted road to ATTEMPT to film a top gear style farewell to my Car (96 Thunderbird). The wind was not our side, and he just had a major exhaust leek fixed, so instead we decided to strait pipe his Z. I had installed a 240z glass pack exhaust on his car, we just took the glass packs off. and this is the result

The damn iphone cam doen't do it justice, yes it was Loud, sounded SO much better in real life, trust me, anyways we put the glass packs back on that night, we called it the Maserati Exhaust Copp, sounds good, but slow as balls lol

^ Agreed, I think it depends a lot on the taste or different people.

I for one appreciate the sounds of around every single type of car or engine, and this is no exception. In fact, it kinda reminds me of a less "civilized" version of this:


It is indeed quite raspy (atleast it sounds like that in the video, would love to hear a higher-quality recording of the sound).

I like the sound of the car, it sounds like an actual car, rather than a sound byte. For example, the Jaguar XKR-S makes a pretty astonishing noise, but it seems really fake and calculated to me. This is real.

Agreed, except for smog V8 engines. Those still sound the same.
