Happy 4th of July everyone. This thread is hereby dedicated to all stories, pictures, and plans for and about Independence Day festivities all across the nation. Who has the best display of fireworks? Who has the biggest BBQ? Post about it here.

Personally, I'm probably gonna jet off to my uncle's house and/or my dad's house and just light things on fire. Haha. My uncle has these really cool satellite things that hover around in the air. They spin around and have helicopter-like fins on the bottom. He has some pretty cool stuff.

I already made some beef ribs in the slow cooker. Just in case it's too hot to BBQ tomorrow. But, it looks good, so far.

We'll have a quiet fair; just the fam. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and dip and beef ribs. Haagen Dazs chocolate and coffee ice cream for dessert. Also, some of the sweetest bing cherries I've ever had and seedless watermelon. Homemade fireworks from last year, if we go somewhere.

It's going to be so crowded. Everybody I know seem to be going to the beach.............. and Oregon beaches SUCK(I'm sorry, they really do). When it's hot in the cities, it's like in 50's & 60's at Oregon coast. I really don't get the point!

Or, I could make do with what I got. Do homemade nachos sound good as an appetizer, folks? I could use the BBQued Beef Polska Kielbasa I was planning for tomorrow's dinner to make a Polska Kielbasa, cheddar cheese and spinach macaroni casserole. Sound good?

Oh, and revelling in the fact that I moved to a country where my birthday is a national holiday and I never have to work! Plus the whole country helps me celebrate and lets off fireworks! I feel special! :dunce:

We've done all kinds of activities about the US. It would have been even more fun if the weather wasn't as hot as it was.
