Oh no, my love's at an end.

It's been nice here the last few days. Warm low 80's but cold nights. But, it's getting much colder once again.

Low 60's expected in the next few days.

Got down to -13°F last night, but it was a more comfortable -6°F coming to work today.

Supposed to top out at 12°F here. Nice!

I stayed up last night to watch some of the things going on in Paris, then I flipped to the weather channel real quick to see what it felt like outside and the forecast.
I wish I took a picture of it buy I swear I saw snow pixels in Mexico.... MEXICO!!!

A few public schools around me were closed for a few hours but life still goes on. Car almost started to cough when I started it.

Pretty wicked snowstorm happening outside right now. Only supposed to get about 3 inches but winds are ~30mph.

At the moment, it is colder where I am (and throughout most of Canada and the northern US) then it is on Mars.

10 degrees Fahrenheit... Short and T-Shirt... are you crazy? I suppose you are from Minnesota but still, I can barely wear a T-Shirt in 40 degree weather!
When you're used to -30F, 10F feels damn hot.

To put it a different way, it's the same difference between 50F and 90F.

I find it interesting that when stormy weather hits Melbourne, our suburb always avoids the worst of it because we're just far enough inland. Port Phillip Bay is responsible for whipping up massive storms, so you don't want to be anywhere near coast when the heavens open!

After a few days of rain storm today is surprisingly cool. It's still comfortable in just a t-shirt but I needed a jacket this morning while out fishing. I guess the fish don't like the cool weather either because they weren't biting.

  1. It was -17 here at the first of the year. Recovered a little and now we have freezing rain turning to snow again tonight and 12 degrees. Grrrr I want spring

Clear, bright, sunny skies. High 60's to low 70's for the next week. Clouds coming in for the weekend, though. Oh, the humanity!!!

We're having an unusual winter....the ice shelf which is usually steadfast throughout the whole winter had broken loose and there's a vast amount of water out there. Thus there isn't much snow this year and we're having unusually warm weather for January.

2 things with the ice being rather unstable. First for the subsistence crabbing and fishing for the locals is pretty nonexistant, and second the Bering Sea Gold crews are not making money either...
