@FoolKiller - if you end up with 10" of snow, I think you'd have more than Fargo has had all winter, never mind what you've already had.
Well, as expected it is getting a slow start, but the inch or two we have right now was preceded by a layer of ice. Temperatures are in the teens, so the snow is very light and powdery and blowing around in the wind. Road crews at this point are basically just working to prevent drifting and build up.
This was my view on the way in this morning.
And this is how busy my office is.
It's a cubicle maze and I was the one to turn the lights on because I was the only one here.
Last night my wife realized we were out of garbage bags and ran to the grocery to get some. Nothing else, just garbage bags. She said the bread, milk, eggs, and toilet paper aisles were empty.
I understand the toilet paper. If you get stuck and get a case of the squirts, you want that on hand. Milk, bread and eggs though? Unless you intend to live on French toast your options are really limited. The peanut butter is still well stocked. Eggs means that you expect to cook, so why not some meats to go with the bread or for dinner? What about cereal for the milk? It's just such an odd combination that doesn't even have a survivalist focus.
Are we so ingrained in habit that the three things that we could almost always have back when everyone was farming are the only things that we can think to grab today?
