Damn this rain. Not allowing me to got bike ridding. Gerrrrr. Only been able to go riding once in the past almost 2 weeks now. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Need to find something else to do as a work out. Blah but i hate to work out, its not as fun as bike ridding.

I absolutely cannot stand rain. High winds also suck when trying to ride.:irked:

I went riding one time and got caught in a storm that lasted the whole 57 miles. Sometimes it rained so hard i couldn't hardly see. Another bad thing is that i wear glasses so i really couldn't see s***. But in a way i kind of enjoyed it. It made me feel strong. Also I decided to take a chance and ride on a day of 40% chance of rain. Well, it 40 percented the whole 30 miles and the good thing about the rain is it made me set a personal record of 1 hour 26 minutes for 30 miles. That's pretty quick (for me at least). Needless to say i really wanted to get out of the rain.

Damn man.

Well at least it helped you out with your own personal record. :)

Now as for me. Still sitting around the house during the day times. It rains one day then it starts to dry out the next then it rains the following day. Damn i hate this kind of weather. It rains just enough for the trails to get all muddy to the point where its pretty much useless to go and try to ride them. Man whats the deal with all this spotty rain? Almost been 3 weeks now.

Yeah, I should go biking sometime soon.... Maybe tomorrow... Yeah, tomorrow will be good if I can find anyone that wants to go biking....

i hate rain as well, not because i ride my bike, but skating in my local steel halfpipe in the wet is seriously deadly. it is so slippery, yoiu turn slightly and you stack it.

I have found a local college that has a large indoor gym, which has weekend hours during school season. You should try and locate one for yourself, then you'll be able to bike inside. If you are not able to drive yourself there, try and find a stationary bike at a gym, to suffice until you can use your regular bike again.

when it rains i really find it hard to get motivated to get on my bike and out on the road....i ride mtb and road and try to get in 300 miles a month...

with the winter upon us i get to use my turbo trainer a lot more but it is so boring...i have a hut in my garden that i use with a couple of bikes and a permanent turbo...

i understand Raptors dilema when the weather forecast says there is a 40% chance of rain...the rain itself doesnt bother me too much if its light but when its freezing, dull and torrential i would rather just sit on the sofa with a good book...

recently i was on the Isle of Mull for a bit of mountain biking....we went on Friday morning and returned on Sunday evening. It rained continiously and the cloud level was at 1500ft...man it really made our spirits hit the floor. there is a beautiful mountain there we were gonna attempt...no chance in this weather...

Raptor, your 30 mile time there...is that on tarmac?

i ride regularly with a club doing road on the sunday 9am till 4pm..or when ever we fininsh... and mtb on the saturday from 9am till 2pm (sometimes changes)...i either do one of the other but i try to get at least one of those rides in a week and one evening a week and the rest training...the road stage is usually 60-75 miles....

what do you guys ride...?
